Running in cold weather can be doubly stressful on your legs; keep them both warm and supported with the CW-X Men's Insulator Performx Tights. In addition to the comfort and light insulation of the WarmStretch fabric, your legs enjoy the advantages of the Support Web design, which offers targeted support for your  knee joints and acts as a suspension system for your quads to increase power at the push phase of the running motion. In plain English, you stay warm, run faster, and feel better after.

    • Four-way stretch WarmStretch fabric provides 25% more warmth than regular fabric
    • Combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers wicks moisture rapidly and dries quickly
    • Built-in silver dioxide nanotechnology controls the spread of odor-causing bacteria
    • Two-way stretch Support Web targets support to the hip flexors, IT bands, quads, calf, and the lateral and medial ligaments and tendons of the knee joint
    • Flat seam construction eliminates chafing and enhances fit
    • Double-reinforces waistband features flat drawcord for a custom fit

First winter tights, won't be the last

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I was a bit skeptical of running in tights. But I hate taking so much time off of running during the winter months and hitting the treadmill that I thought I would give it a go. I absolutely love these tights. I don't want to go back to shorts. So much benefit beyond warmth. These offer good support for your legs on those longer runs. I'm very excited to have the ability to run outside all year long. Great purchase for any runner. My only question is at what temp do I stop wearing these? That's an answer I won't have until later in the Spring. I'll be looking for a lighter tight to get me through the warmer mornings. Tights are great for running and I think these are some great warm weather tights. If you're looking for some first cold weather tights like I was I highly recommend these.

    Would purchase another

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 165lbs

Bought for my husband, he is a ski instructor and his muscle get a workout. He put them on for a long hike and loved the support. I'm looking forward to getting another pair that are not insulated for the Spring. He is 6'0 & weights 165.

    Great for winter running

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 195lbs

I used these for running several times this winter and they were comfortable and just warm enough. They seemed to hold up well to frequent washing. I run at night a lot so the reflective part is cool. Get some!

    Good first impression

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Just received these CW-X insulator tights and tried them on a run today. Currently, it's late winter in northern Utah - so it was around freezing with some rain/sleet mix. These compression tights fit very comfortably and provided sufficient warmth.

As a size reference: I'm 6'4" ~190lbs with a 33" waist and 34" inseam. I went with XL after consulting the size chart.

    Great tights for the money

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I have used these 50+ times while skiing and running in cold weather

Maybe its partially mental but my legs feel less fatigued after a day of skiing when I wear these

I have also worn them on multi day ski trips - they are far better than synthetic long underwear for staying fresh smelling - they are also much cheaper than the Skins alternative and have the same performance

    Great except for one thing...

I bought these tights to run in during the winter months and I live in central Idaho, so it gets pretty chilly up here. The warmth factor is great! The fit factor is great! The way they feel when I'm running is great! I especially like the supportive feeling around my knees. My only negative remark is that they have a seam which runs down the entire length of the crotch. The seam is not flat locked, and runs from the front waistband down and up to the back waistband. I wore them on an 8 mile road run without underwear and learned the hard way it was a bad idea! I don't remember reading that you needed to wear underwear with them, but I guess that's totes necessary! The pain was pretty severe, and I almost quit running, called my wife and had her come pick me up...

Anyway, these are a great product and there's nothing wrong with the pair I bought. I'm just an idiot, and I hope you will learn from my mistake.

First tights, great so far. Pretty warm.

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

As my first pair of tights, I have nothing with which to compare. They seem very good. I've been running in cold humid weather (around -5 Celsius) and I've never felt cold during my run. They're definitely not wind-proof (not that they claim to be), I can feel the breeze when I walk outside before my run. They support very well and I it's possible that I'm experiencing less knee pain during longer runs. They're very tight, but they don't show your junk, which is nice. And they look cool! Overall I'm very happy.

i've heard that cw-x has short length. is...
