    Toasty refuge for frozen digits.

From picturesque powder days to idyllic snowshoe hikes, the Columbia Men's Tumalo Mountain Glove provides a cozy place for frozen fingers when it's dumping snow and freezing outside. Sealing out winter's onslaught of heavy snow and icy precipitation, the Omni-Tech waterproof/breathable membrane keeps hands pleasantly dry through deep snow and damp conditions.

Trapping fiery heat when Arctic blasts pummel your locale, the gloves' Farenhot polyester insulation keeps your fingers from freezing in single-digit temperatures. In fact, you'll find more insulation along the back of the hand (240-gram), giving you extra heat where you need it most—without restricting dexterity throughout the fingers and palm. Speaking of fingers, you'll appreciate the PU-grip palm when it's time to strap in atop your favorite lift, as well as the sublimely soft nose wipe along the thumb.

    • Chamois touch tricot lining (100% polyester)
    • PU-grip palm with nose wipe along thumb

    Great glove for the price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great glove for the price has the warmth of gloves 3 times the price. I did not find it ran small as other post imply. We got it for our son who is hard on gloves and it held up far better than more expensive gloves.

    Runs small, doesn't breathe

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Look good and not expensive, but they didn't breathe.

I almost bought a M, but read reviews and bought a L ... it was still too small! Should have bought XL

If you can afford to pay more look elsewhere.

    tumalo mountain gloves

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

"Runs small!" that's a gross understatement! I bought large, I doubt if Giant would have fit my 8.5 size hands.

Item 2, the fabric of the inside is "sticky" in that if your hands are the slightest wet, there's no way you'll get into them. This is particularly a problem in the thumbs, which seem to have a maze to keep you out.

    Runs Small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I was disappointed that the men's small was just slightly too small for my 13 year old son, who fits comfortably with a little room in my women's small gloves. The glove runs small in the palm length, and slightly small in finger/overall length, but seems true to size in girth. Gloves seem terribly difficult to size, and rarely run true to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturers. Apparently Dakine runs on the large side in youth & womens, Columbia seems to run small in all their products, even though the sizing charts show equivalent measurements. It's the length of the gloves that seem to have more variability more so than the girth.

Otherwise the glove seems well made and nicely designed. I like the concept of more insulation on the top of the hand rather than the palm. The powder cuff was a nice length that allows the jacket to be tucked in fully. Good price point.

Returning for a men's large. Hopefully I'll be able to rate the performance of the glove and not just the inconvenience of the sizing.
