    Farenhot for winter.

At first glance, you might be apt to categorize the Columbia Girls' Katelyn Crest Insulated Jacket as just a fashion piece, but look a little closer and you'll see that it has some great insulating properties and features that work for the city and the hill. Omni-Shield Storm-lite DP II face fabric helps block light flurries, wetness from playground snowball fights, and chairlift drips. A hefty 240-gram Farenhot synthetic insulation hangs out on the high end of insulation warmth, and the removable faux fur trim on the hood adds a flourish of style.

    Great coat, great price!

    • Size Bought: small

I purchased this coat for my eight year old daughter. I was on the fence about the size based on reviews and ended up ordering a size small. It fits her perfectly, yet she still has enough room in the jacket to wear layers; the size medium probably would have been too big. The sleeves do run a little long, but not so long it looks funny. I love the tapered waste, it is very flattering. The weather here can get to 30 below, this coat so far has kept her nice and toasty.
