Great Heavyweight Flannel!

These shirts are super soft, thick, and warmer than cotton flannels. Like all Columbia shirts, the fit is somewhat boxy. I'm on the high end of the Medium and the low end of the Large as far as the Columbia size guide is concerned. I had to return a Medium bought elsewhere because the shirt was just a bit too tight across the back, under the arms, in the neck, and in the wrist and elbow areas. The waist was fine. I prefer a looser fit in flannel anyway for layering. The large is much more comfortable, providing ease of movement, without being too large. I'm 5'10", 175 lbs., 33" waist, with a 34" sleeve length, a bit broad-shouldered and muscular in the upper body. Another issue with the Medium was related to the seam along the arms. It ran right beneath my elbow, so I couldn't comfortably bend my arms and stretch out in the Medium. The Large fixed all of these problems. I suggest grabbing these shirts before they sell out. Who knows if Columbia will keep making them?

Got this as a gift, and this is what the receiver had to say: "Loved the material that this shirt was made out of. Not too thick but really warm and cozy weather your inside or out. Returned because the fit was a bit bigger and boxier than I'm used to for flannels."
