Z/2 Classic Wide Sandal
Cradling wider-than-average feet, the Chaco Men's Z/2 Classic Wide Sandal is a supportive choice for far-flung travel, everyday adventures, and rowdy river runs. The Z/2 is an excellent option if you've come to love Chaco Sandals, but desire a bit more room to alleviate cramped feet and toes. Pull-through adjustable straps ensure a custom fit while the ladder lock buckle keeps the straps firmly in place during active use.
Realizing that slippage is a major issue in the water, the Z/2 sports a textured polyurethane footbed for extra grip. The anti-odor footbed treatment fends off funky odor build-up, especially during extended treks in humid weather. Plus, the LUVSEAT midsole supports your every step with its ergonomic shaping and plush feel. And to stand up to the rigors of hiking and paddling, the ChacoGrip rubber sole ensures tenacious traction across rugged trails and slippery shorelines.

My chacos
Fit is always great. Most comfortable water footwear ever. Great support. The strap always slips and gradually constricts my big toe. Frequent adjustments are needed. Webbing quality has been noticeably decreasing over the past 20 yrs.

My only sandles
Same great quality! My 6th pair in a row! I wear them everyday all summer and get new ones every 3 years

They are much larger than the specified size.
They would be great if they were anywhere near the size they say they are. I wear 10.5 in ever shoe and boot I own. The size 11 was too big, and the size 10 is almost an inch too long. I can hold the size 10 up to my size 11 reef flip flops and size 10 Chaco is soo much bigger.

Fits the need, but just OK
I feel Chaco quality has gone down over the years. The sole material used to be much better when they worked with Vibram. I got 18 years out of my first pair, now they might last two years at most. The straps are also a rougher material and rub blisters on my feet. I want to like them more, but they need a bit of a redesign, in my opinion, though. I absolutely loved my first pair I ever got in 2004, this pair is OK.

Has the design declined?
Straps shredded my feet on a five mile hike. Couldn’t ever get the adjustment correct. Straps cut across the top of my foot, heels, and the sharp nylon risers cut my ankles My second pair of z2s. Hard to imagine getting another pair. Sandals shouldn’t make your feet bleed

I wish that more types were offered in wide width
I like the shoes and they are very nice but I want more color and style options for wide width.

Not for me
I hate the toe strap but the main shoe is really good.

Chacos for life
Chaco has been a staple for over 2 decades. The quality has suffered but there is not a better alternative. The last pair the toe loop slot in the footbed failed, these last about a year. They are usually so beat its hardy worth repair. Super comfortable, and nice to wear.

Chaco Owner for 27 years!! Just switched to my second pair!! I’ve rappelled, rock climbed, canyoneered, rafted, and every day use in my Chacos Z classic sandals (I got my first pair before they were classic in 1997). Best sandals ever!!!!
