Diagonal Full-Zip Jersey
Castelli’s pro-level Diagonal Jersey fills a specific need in the dedicated cyclist’s wardrobe, providing thermal comfort on dry rides ranging from 54-64 degrees F. With warming fabric throughout and a little extra stretch thrown in on the side panels, the jersey is relatively basic in construction compared to the deeper winter layers from Castelli’s vast line up. However, that was the intent as the Diagonal complements Castelli’s range and matches well with its Perfetto or Aria vests on colder rides that need wind-blocking.
Castelli includes the standard rear pockets in a dropped fashion to enhance fit and riding comfort, while a reflective trim sits just below for low-light conditions. For a more aerodynamic fit that still affords similar thermal protection, the Castelli Triangolo jersey is a prime choice and reduces weight by over 100-grams.

Comfortable & perfect fall/spring jersey
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- True to size
This was not my first choice, as I wasn't sure of the color. My gearhead, Kaylee Rakowski, described the color well, so I gave it a try. I am glad I did, as I have worn it twice since I got it. The bright color is good for standing out to drivers! It also tends more toward the orange than the pink, as Kaylee said. The fit is perfectly in line with other Castelli jerseys I own. The fabric is a bit thicker than I expected, but has a soft, very slightly fleecy interior. This does well to insulate, but it also does not get clammy during a hard workout. The pockets do not sag, and it washes well and looks like new after I hung it to dry! I wore this on two 49-52 degree days with a stiff headwind and spotty sun. When I started warming up, I was a bit cool in the arms, but that stopped in a few minutes. A wonderful piece and I am sure I will be wearing it a lot during the "in-between" seasons.
