Back in the day, you had to start your preschooler out on skis because the traditional snowboards were too big and stiff for little ones to manage. But now there’s no need to bite that annoying bullet since Burton developed the easy-riding Girls’ Chicklet Snowboard, which even the tiniest Bet-teeny can handle. With edges lifted off the snow, ultra-mellow camber, and soft flex, she’ll easily develop balance and control and get a feel for turning. For the 80-, 90-, and 100-centimeter sizes, grippy foot pads and a Riglet reel (sold separately) let you pull her around until she’s ready for bindings. The Chicklet also comes with the Go Snowboarding package so she can take a Learn to Ride lesson and get a free lift ticket her first time out of the backyard.
