Run Visible Thermal Hoodie - Men's

Well made running top with limited thermal versatility.

While the Run Visible Thermal Hoodie is made extremely well, I feel as though the design is less well thought out. My major observation is that the neck is not adjustable in any way. As I warm up while running, the neck has no zipper or other way of opening up. This leaves me cold when starting out a run but very warm as the run continues. An adjustable neck opening would lend more comfort and complement other nice details like the higher visibility and overall lightness of the garment. Unfortunately, I have found myself leaving the hoodie home and choosing a more versatile running top that accommodates changes in body temperature during a run. Otherwise, I really like the garment.

4 stars, not for places that are exteme cold

I live where the normal weather is 40 degrees, if it was a little thicker it'd be 5 stars. Need an extra Layer underneath to help, or a garment similar but meant for extreme cold weather would be nice. Some of us live in cold temperatures year round. Quality us nice. Ran thru machine wash multiple times, no issues. They do run a little small

Good thermal

This is a nice weight thermal jacket. I am a 5’10” female and had to order men’s small because all the women’s sizes run extremely small. This is warm and reflective.

I ordered a medium like I do with all Brooks clothes, and I think the sleeves are slightly too short, so they cut into my webspace when I put my thumb through. Otherwise it's warm and comfortable and I love this hoodie

New Favorite

First time out with it, the temp was 49F and it was absolutely perfect. Not too warm and not cold at all. didn’t feel any sweat until after the hike when I took it off. The wicking function is exceptional. I picked up the vest to go over it when temps drop. Tried them on together and they are light weight and not bulky. Just found my new favorite.

A Must Have

I wear this mostly as an outer layer and sized up. This hoodie is so well-thought out, it accounts for just about everything: a hood "storage" loop, thumb holes, all kinds of visual contrast (daytime, dusk/dawn, nighttime, they're all accounted for), and it's made to last. I add this as an outer layer to my runs as temps get into the 30s F. It's perfect as a single layer to about 45°F before it gets too warm. The hood helps keep your head warm and your hat on your head if things are breezy. Highly Recommended!

Very good, perhaps fit/function could be improved

I come from a manufacturing/production management background- so this could be too close across the bow. The roll down hood is extremely functional... on paper. perhaps it is because I have coarse facial hair (either "clean" or as a beard) the rolled hood into a collar becomes irritating, especially on longer runs and after soaking some sweat. The material itself does a great job of keeping warm, while also allowing some air flow so you aren't steaming during a run. The cut seems to be done well and seems loose around the belly, while not being too roomy; I am also pretty muscular, so the arms are tight, but not awful. The materials hangs on a base layer, which means putting this on turns into a five-minute ordeal trying to spin materials around the arms into the shoulders. I could be over-complicating things, I could also be taking feature for granted. All-in-all, it is very nice and functional.

Excellent high-vis choice for chilly runs

Was looking for a high-visibilty top for pre-dawn runs in temps 20 - 40 deg F. First few runs in temps ~ 34 deg F, very comfortable over a thin baselayer.

Perfect for these bone chilling Midwest day break outings. The fit is comfortably athletic with an added layer underneath as needed. Has kept me just warm enough while not feeling overheated. Will definitely buy again if/when needed.
