Great trainers.

Bought these for road walking exercise. I have purchased Brooks trainers before and have found them to be very comfortable. I am pleased to say I am finding the Ghost Max to be as comfortable as my last Brooks trainers. Would definitely recommend.

My Cinderella Distance Running Shoe

These are truly the perfect shoe (at least for me)! I started distance running several years ago, trying many shoes. My first marathon was in a pair of Brooks Glycerins and they were wonderful. I have Morton's neuromas in my left foot, which requires regular injections. Since that diagnosis, I've benefitted from more cushioned shoes for my distance runs. I tried some Hoka Bondis for two more marathons which were great at first but always gave me terrible blisters (I just thought it was the distance, but turns out it was the shoes!). I got two pairs of Ghost Max this winter: one for runs and one from walking. They have put me back in such a comfortable place on distance runs! I ran a half marathon in them in May and had no foot or knee pain at the finish line. Even though they are heavier than a typical race shoe, I'm not out here chasing medals, so comfort is queen, and these are comfort! I have more races this summer and fall, including another marathon, and I feel more confident going into them now that I have found my Cinderella shoe for long distance running! My walking pair has been great on regular walks, travel days, and long days on my feet. Great toe box size too. Please keep making these, Brooks!

Gave me peroneal tendonitis in both feet

I bought these after wearing ghosts for years. I did not realize they only had a 6mm midsole drop versus the normal 12mm midsole drop. This change ended up shifting more weight into my heel and I now have peroneal tendonitis in both feet and have to wear ankle braces to try and allow the tendons to heal. It’s very painful.

Daily wearing

They're squishy in the heel. Comfy for daily wearing around but not supportive for running. Comfortable but the heel feels like it sinks in too much. Takes some getting used to.

Cushioning but not squishy

These are the most comfortable, supportive running shoes from Brooks (or any other company, though I am a loyal Brooks customer) I have ever had. I was wary they would feel too "bouncy" but in fact that is what makes them great: cushioning but not squishy. They also encourage proper foot strike. I was not quite ready to retire my previous Brooks running shoes but I always want to run in these so my previous pair took early retirement. Love them! And the colorway (peach and turquoise...retro Howard Johnson's look!) is fun.

I have had multiple pairs of Brooks tennis shoes over the years and these just didn’t give me the support I thought they would. I have worn them 3 times-once outside to run, once on the treadmill to run and once to walk and I just didn’t get the feel that I needed or wanted. Still a Brooks fan though!

Great shoe!

These are very comfortable and provide excellent support. I wear a wide width, and these feel wider than the wide Glycerin and wide Ghosts (not Max).

Love My Ghost Max

Ghost Max my new favorite, like as much or more than my Hoka Bondi 8

Great for hospital shifts

I have been looking for a comfortable shoe to get me through my long 12-hour hospital shifts. These seem to do the trick. I have never bought a shoe with such a large heel, so I was concerned that I wouldn't like it. But, the height is fine. My hip and leg pain is gone. Thank you Brooks for the military discount! That was very kind.
