Great long run/recovery shoe
Love this shoe! I was looking for a max cushion trainer for long runs and recovery miles, and this fits the bill. My joints feel really protected in this shoe, and I've loved them from the first break-in run. Good lock-down on the upper. I wouldn't wear this shoe for more uptempo runs/speedwork, but for my intended use, easy 5 stars.

The toe box is not wide enough. Otherwise this is the best shoe for my sore feet! Ever!

Ok, not great
I can't say I love it. Cushion is good. But the cushion just doesn't have enough stiffness overall. I almost feel like my foot is making contact with pavement. The tongue is too thick also.

Too good to be true
I am a disabled veteran with a severe traumatic brain injury. I have balance issues and can’t run or even walk fast for an extended period of time. After injuring my spine causing a setback in my recovery my doctor told me I needed to be walking. I bought the Ghost Max and they were too good to be true. After years of painfully trying to walk and so many falls I was finally able to walk for MILES at a time. The shoes were too long and the 1/2 size down were too small so I happily weathered the blisters. After a week the soles started to peel some and after 6 weeks they have shredded considerably. I would expect shoes that cost this much to be more durable. It turns out it was too good to be true.

Brooks Max is a game changer!
I've been a long-time Brooks wearer and fun... as I've gotten older, my knees and back have developed a little pain post-run. I decided to go for the Brooks Max because I read it helped people with recovery. I have to say... It's a game changer! I'm now averaging 8-10 miles a week and the pain is much lower. And I feel so good, I can get out faster in between runs, too. I look forward to my hot, summer runs now!

The shoes were much heavier than I like. I have only wore them twice. I will replace them with a lighter shoe.

Ghost with the most
These shoes have super cushy soles! My feet don’t hurt while walking on concrete with these.

Pretty cushy
More cushiony like my beloved Adrenaline USED to be. I don’t feel like they’re holding up as well as my Saucony, but I’d probably buy these again to alternate with.

Extremely comfortable, I use these for working out not running but I could run 🏃 if I needed to. Ran 1/2 size smaller. Brooks was fantastic about exchanging them. Love the stability in them.
