The Bluesign Sprint Women's Wetsuit is, sure enough, an entry-level suit, but that doesn't mean it skimps on details or performance. As triathlon wetsuits become more and more advanced, even the more basic offerings are nearly equivalent to what top-of-the-line suits used to be.

While the Sprint doesn't have the fancy panels or space-age design of Blueseventy's best Helix, it uses 100% Yamamoto 38-cell neoprene, giving you tons of flexibility and buoyancy, the two most important characteristics in any wetsuit. Blueseventy coated the legs and arms of the Sprint with SCS, a hydrophobic friction-reducing layer that lets you cut through the water like a hot knife through butter (it also gives the suit a sweet shiny finish). Thin 1.5mm arms with gusseted underarms improve fit and ease core and shoulder rotation, boosting the efficiency of each stroke and taking seconds out of your swim times.

Buoyancy is perhaps the most important wetsuit feature for triathletes, as it reduces the percentage of your body that's actually moving through the water, in turn minimizing drag and maximizing efficiency. The Sprint isn't as techy as higher-cost suits in this areas, but it still boasts a design that helps lift the hips and upper legs out of the water, helping you achieve an efficient and powerful "downhill" swimming position (as well as a natural roll when breathing) so you can focus on propelling yourself forward and not on raising yourself up and out of the water.

Unlike Blueseventy's fancier suits, the Sprint features silicone wrist and ankle cuffs, which almost literally pop off when they're wet, allowing for smooth transitions. The lowered, curved collar makes it easy to move your head and prevents against zipper irritation, too, so you can see where you are in the water without a pointy bit stabbing you in the back of the neck.
