Great for Spring Splitboarding!
These things were perfect for my last spring splitboarding mission up Shastina in California. They 're lightweight, compact, fit well over a snowboard boot, and provided more than adequate security for traversing and booting up icy slopes in the early hours of a spring ski expedition. Highly recommended. Only thing that could make it better is if they came with a crampon bag.

Fits snowboard boots
I’ve used these at tuckerman ravine. They fit snuggly and are very adjustable. I don’t like heights so they made me feel much better when climbing the re frozen spring snow.

Great Alpine Insurance
Big snow years mean that while the cliffs are melted out, the approaches can by anything but. These fit on my approach shoes and are insurance that I can make it to the base of a climb without risking my neck. Super light weight and easy to fit to stiff approach shoes and hiking boots. A great option when you don't need full mountaineering boots, but you're going to bring an ice axe.

Great product
I have a pair of the Neve Strap Crampons that I haven't tried yet but they look amazing. The overall quality can be felt with the materials. I can't wait to get them on the mountain and dig into the snow!

Perfect for a light alpine carry-over
I wore these with some sturdy-ish approach shoes ( ankle height) for a mixed carry-over objective. Just needed something for the mostly low angle glacier that had a few steep sections and a tricky moat. I was glad I had them and I was impressed by how stable I felt, given how minimal they are and the footwear I was in. Very comfortable fit and easy to adjust. I didn’t really notice them taking up space or adding weight to my pack for the 5th class sections. I’ll be using these as often as the terrain will let me get away with it. Thanks BD!

These are great poons, which
These are great poons, which fits most, if not all boots and stay on when you need them to. They are (obviously) not made for tromping across rock, but the aluminum is quite hard and mine showed little wear after 3 weeks of continuous use, with care on the short stretches of rock that we did encounter. I also have the alternate version of these, with the steel toe bail. I do not recommend this version unless your boots have a substantial toe extension, which is unlikely with most modern boots. If there is not an adequate toe lip, they will come off frequently (and typically, at the worst of times).

Great all around
Easy to strap to ski boots for spring missions. Easily strap to semi ridged hiking boots for climbing snow.

I'm so sad this product is not being made right now, but I absolutely loved the pair I had! Fit right on my approach shoes securely, felt solid on glacier travel.
