Great fitting gloves
The fit and high quality make these a perfect match for any light winter activity. Warm at 10 degrees F and the fleece is very flexible. A great buy!

Great Gloves
I bought these as liners for my heavy duty ski mits but have ended up just using them as my everyday wear. I ride my bike a couple miles everyday commuting in boston and these are great. I went with an XL and they are roomy enough for a light liner underneath. I tried wearing them once as a liner with mittens and it was pretty snug (XXL mits) but I do not think that is their intended purpose. Recommend as daily gloves were getting wet is not a concern.

Warm and breathable
Preformed great while skinning in cold weather. Kept my hands warm while allowing moisture to escape. Throwing a shell mit on at the top and during the decent worked great.

Warmth . . . ahhhhh
Purchased these gloves to replace a similar pair of Black Diamond gloves which had worn thru in a couple of the fingers. These are really warm. Time will tell how well they hold up.

Nice design, poor execution.
Have barely two months of light winter use, not involving any hard contact, (skiing, shoveling, etc) and the stitching at almost every the finger base is already separating. Perhaps BD is sourcing from cheaper factories to keep costs low, but the loss of a quality reputation will ultimately be much more expensive for this brand.

Hole after one days use
I only used this glove for one day of ski touring, after which I noticed a decent hole had formed where the stitching had come apart between the thumb and pointer finger area. There were also a couple of loose threads on the palm. Pretty poor, especially when you consider the retail price of this glove. A shame as the glove did fit well and were warm at least.. I swapped my pair for another brand's glove.

Crazy sizing
As a comfortable fleece glove with extra durability, they're great. However, BD glove sizing is so inconsistent between models that I would recommend trying these on before you buy. For instance, in size XL, these liner gloves are a full effective size bigger than the Torrent gloves, which you would expect they could be paired with, given that those come with removable midweight fleece gloves of their own. They fit about 1.5 sizes bigger than the Guide gloves, and about a size bigger than the Soloist 3-finger gloves. They're no longer in the fingers than the 'heavyweight' Impulse gloves, but much higher volume in the fingers. So, that's 4 stars for a solid fleece glove, minus 1 star for inconsistent sizing, minus 1 for a poor value if you have to return them due to said sizing. A person with huge hands and no expectations regarding fit relative to other products would probably be completely satisfied. Simply changing the size labeling would fix the problem. Hope this sizing info helps!

Expectations Not Met
Not as warm as I thought. A thumb seam was torn. Did not ask for a replacement.

warm & dry
I purchased these for a recent trek, Dhaulagiri circuit and Dhampus Peak climb in Nepal. i used them from the Dhaulagiri base camp on through the High camp at Dhampus. The conditions varied from snow fall, high winds to sun shine. My hands stayed warm and dry through out but did not over heat under fair weather and sunshine nor surprisingly did the gloves get wet during the storms. At 17,800 snow and windy conditions seemed to be the limit my hands were still warm however my finger tips started to feel the cold. A very fine glove.
