Improve cold, wet, and 2 person comfort
I mostly use the Hilight as a 1 person tent and bring my gear inside. The vestibule is pretty much necessary to make it a comfortable 2 person tent. The vestibule also allows me to open the door panel for ventilation without losing insulation in cold conditions. The value during wet weather is more obvious. It shields the door from rain.

Was not what I thought it was
Looked up backpacking tent and this was the first option. I don’t use this and don’t ever plan on using it.

Mountaineering
Used for summiting Mt. Rainier. Worked great and withstood 60mph winds (used 12in snow stakes). Only downside is it's a side entrance, but still good for two adults.

Perfect addition to the Hilight
This vestibule is a must have for the Hilight tent - it allows for much more livable space inside the tent and performs great for gear protection in the elements. Not everything has to come inside with you or be left out entirely, everyone should have the middle ground with this vestibule!

A tad confusing but HUGE upgrade!
A little challenging to figure out exactly how to attach/stake out the first time setting up. Once you get the hang of it, the vestibule is a HUGE upgrade for the Hilight 2p tent though! Much more space for gear/cooking, etc. Big fan

The front porch
This was a great addition to my Hilight2P tent, especially when there are two of us sleeping in it. We can keep our packs and shoes out of the tent but protected from the elements. The vestibule is worth the buy.

Easy to set up and take down
I've only had it a few weeks. I put it up in the back yard just to see how it'd go. I really like it. Only 4 starts because it seems on the heavy side. But I didn't buy it for backcountry. I purchased it to use on my BMW GS1250 Adventure bike.

Transforms the Tent
I just bought this vestibule so we have more room to store gear and cook when two of us are using the tent. It really does transform the space for just 500 grams. Simple to pitch and attach it adds a huge practical space to the tent, so much so you can now even sleep sideways with half your bodies in the porch it's that big. Its more impressive and deeper than the photos would have you believe.
