Why We Built The Oakbury Synthetic Quilted Parka

For everything from strolling through snowy streets to braving the cold on our morning dog walks, we created the Backcountry Synthetic Quilted Parka. This cozy, full-coverage parka effortlessly toes the line between strikingly stylish and robustly warm with a modern silhouette and toasty Primaloft Black insulation, respectively. Not to mention, we constructed this parka entirely out of recycled materials to help us reduce our impact on the natural world we love to explore.

I am 5’0, 100lbs and this jacket ENGULFS me… the arms are too long, the silhouette is unflattering and the olive color is a little drab, but I LOVE it. Because I’m so short it hits me about mid-calf, almost to my ankles, which I very much like. The large pockets can hold phones, keys, wallet and probably a can/bottle of your favorite beer. I’ve only used it in mild PNW winter/spring weather so can’t say how it holds up in colder temps but because it’s so spacious, you can layer up underneath. I used it in a downpour and it repelled water pretty well and didn’t get soaked through. The only downside is the hood is big and loose and you can’t tighten it so in any wind, it blows off and is useless. And I would prefer a zipper to the buttons, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I would recommend purchasing this parka.

This is nice! It's light yet warm. Not waterproof, but it doesn't claim to be. Feels like a big sleeping bag, in a good way. I'm usually a small or medium and tried both - went with the medium for layering purposes. The sleeves are a little long.

Light Weight Warmth

The Oakbury synthetic quilted parka is amazing; it is warm and extremely light weight. It's like having a cloud of warmth surrounding your body keeping you oh so cozy but never weighed down. I am outside every day with a busy two year old and this parka has helped me to be unfazed by the chilly New England winter. The hood is perfectly proportioned, the snaps go right up to your chin keeping out the cold and the longer length keeps my legs toasty warm! I highly recommend this parka

I bought this coat for a vacation in Portland, Maine. It was fantastic for layering. This year, my vacation was more like a spring vacation in the middle of winter in Maine. I soo love this coat. Light weight. The color worked with my entire wardrobe.. Kept me warm, especially my legs, as I hiked for 6 miles at least each day. this coat was great for airplane. Two huge pockets and used as a blanket for legs on plane. The brown sugar color goes with so many beautiful colors of clothing.

Solid coat to have for popping outside

I really like this style, excellent drop in pockets. I feel like for the price it should have an inner pocket too, but that's easy to add myself. The reason I returned it is because I didn't like the texture of the fabric on my skin and what I wanted this for was to be able to pop out to get mail etc. without having to put pants on. It would definitely work for that purpose and the fabric and drape would probably improve as it got worn in, I just have increased sensitivity to textures and the feel of things.

I bought the green colorway and love it. This jacket is awesome, it is roomy so you can layer it and I just love the front pockets, so deep and I don’t have to worry about anything falling out
