The Notchtop Bib was a necessary innovation that we made with backcountry touring in mind. Our latest bib is crafted with GORE-TEX Active, a three-layer fabric that offers the same reliable wind and water protection in a light, stretchy, and breathable package. Both the membrane and the lining fight off winter weather while remaining sporty enough for the skin track. Full-length, two-way zippers on the sides let us easily access the ankle gaiters, release body heat in a cinch, or simply swap layers when it's too hot or cold.

Small tears after worn twice

Beautiful color, love the side zippers but after 5 hours of skiing (over 2 days) there are already rips in the fabric. We have lots of other brands of ski pants and have never experienced anything like this before

Poor quality

The quality of this bib is not good: 1) it's more water-repel than water-resist. Wore it while it snowed a little on the slope and this bib can't keep the base layer dry 2) Got a hole around knee area after the 1st wear already, not very sturdy.

I like the fit and functionality but material is way too thin for the backcountry. I have tears after the first ski tour and each tour adds more. Mostly where they go over the ski boot. I’ve got them to avoid these annoying drafts in my back and they do the job but I wish the bib was sturdier. I cannot comment on how the bib withstand really bad weather yet, but they did kept the snow powder off. I noticed others commented on pockets. I do like configuration and usefulness of them. I keep the car key clipped to the strap in upper pocket and beacon clipped to the strap in the right leg cargo pocket. Overall I do like the bib but I don’t think it will survive more than one season. So even if I’ve got it on sale it’s still expensive as it won’t last.

not for tall women, unfortunately

I'm 6'1", and relatively thin (135 lbs). These bibs were too short for me -- even with the suspenders fully extended, they uncomfortably tugged in my pelvis area. What a shame! The quality and color otherwise seem great!

Snowboarding in the PNW

So far so good with these bibs! I wear them with midweight baselayer leggings and I'm plenty warm while snowboarding. The L pant leg has a full zipper so you can unzip to use the bathroom or vent and the R pant leg zipper does not start at the top of the bib so that side is just for venting. They are maybe a little bit long on me, but with my snowboard boots on they still do not drag on the ground. I don't feel suffocated or squeezed in while bending over to strap in my bindings too which I love.

Weird Sizing and Cut
- Familiarity:

- Size Bought:
- M

I was so disappointed because I really wanted to like these bibs! Will start by saying the color was as pictured and the quality was great. Features were also great. That being said, the sizing was SO bizarre! I read some reviews saying the sizing was small, but that was not the case for me. I'm on the average/slightly curvy side (5'6" tall, 28" waist, 39" hips) and in ski / outdoor apparel, I'm always a medium in the bottoms (and if anything, mediums are more likely to be slightly on the tighter side on me). These bibs did NOT fit well even though ordered my usual medium. There was such a huge gap that couldn't be tightened in the back and the cut by the legs weirdly seemed to get WIDER at the knees instead of slimmer. I was pretty bummed but guess I'll have to cave and pay for Flylow bibs after all.

Designed for peeing in the wild
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- XXL
- Height:
- 5' 5"
- Weight:
- 185
I was skeptical of the bibs/straps, and I've come to appreciate they were built for peeing in the wild! _________ PROS: You can leave ALL of the straps in place, including your beacon (which will likely be OVER the top of your bibs and bib straps for easiest access from a chest harness), then you simply unzip the left side zipper, the backside then opens up, and it's a quick action from there. It sounds like some bending of physics, so you'll have to trust me. The gore-tex infinium fabric has been great so far, both for touring and in-bounds skiing. They are definitely on the thin side, so I'm wearing thicker base layers on moderately cold days vs what I was used to in my last pants (which were the Arcteryx Sentinel for reference, a shell with a hint of stretch and a light fuzzy backer that trapped in a lot of warmth for it's weight) Full length side zips for venting Two leg pockets can hold phone, possibly a map, and one chest pocket good for smaller things like credit cards and chapstick. An XXL is available if you need it! (My XL Sentinel was feeling tight after the covid times....) ________ CONS: The leg pockets are too far to the front of the leg. I have to be VERY deliberate in placing my phone in the pocket and making sure to put it in upright and shoved to the side. And occasionally it falls sideways over the top of my knee. I would suggest future version adjust the pocket placement to avoid interfering with the knees. The chest pocket is off-set to the left, which is where my beacon sits, so I have to move my beacon out of the way to access the pocket. It would be great to move it to a true center position. The straps inside the chest pocket and the leg pocket are a bit of a mystery. Are they meant to help keep credit cards or phone or map in place? They are a thin stretchy material, so I don't believe that would be safe to attach a beacon to. So I'm stumped there. I'd love to see a proper cord/attachment that can safely be used for a beacon, and/or something to attach a single car key inside the leg pocket. The ankles are technically big enough, but it would be nice if they were a little bit wider (both the shell and the inner gaiter) to make them easier to get over ski boots, especially ski boots with a boot heater battery attached. It takes a bit more patience to access the top buckles on ski boots as well if/when you want to adjust those at the top of your tour, or the top of the lift. There is a MASSIVE gap in the fabric in the back. Im not sure if this is by design to accommodate the left zip bio-break access, or if they could be adjusted. It doesn't bother me functionally at all, I only notice in the mirror at home, but seems like something to address in future versions, either with the fabric cut, or with a cinch strap of some kind. ________ SIZE I'm a "curvy 16" in most women's pants and I ordered the XXL after finding my old ski pants a bit tighter than they used to be. I didn't try the XL in these to compare, but I get the feeling they would be too small. The XXL gives me ample room to move, and bend, and be active, and is perfectly comfortable.

Odd waist position
- Size Bought:
- Medium
- Height:

The high waist on these is in such an awkward spot for women. They are pulled right up under your breasts. It's a shame because there are so many other things they did right. I cannot help but feel they did not test these out on women. It's like my chest is on display as soon as I remove my jacket. Might work for those with smaller chests, but the straps are awkwardly placed.

Breathable and flattering
- Size Bought:
- XS
- Height:
- 5' 6"
- Weight:
- 105
I bought these pants for ski touring in size XS. I'm typically XS in most products, and this one fits. There is some "gapping" on the backside, but it is typically covered by a backpack of jacket and doesn't affect the use of the product for me. PROS: These pants fit great, have nice big vents on the sides. The fabric seems breathable yet also durable, especially with the reinforced cuffs at the bottom. CONS: If you're touring and have a backpack strapped on, you have to undo the waist strap on the backpack to unzip the left side vent. Also, there are "straps" in some pockets. I can only assume this is for if you wear your beacon in your pocket instead of on your chest. But it's in the tiny pocket on the upper waist as well, and a beacon wouldn't fit there. Doesn't bother me, just kinda odd.
