Why We Built The Covert Liner Short

Nobody likes a sore bottom the day after a big ride, which is why we built the Cover Liner Shorts. Constructed from a soft, stretchy material to eliminate chafing or pinching, we often forget we're wearing them when our focus turns to the trail ahead. Breathable side panels keep us cool on hot summer days, while the low-profile chamois cushions our sit bones without adding excess bulk.

Great for the right context

I have two of them that I use almost exclusively for indoor training. The padding is on the lighter side as others have said but the breathability that you gain from that is absolutely worth it. I ride about 1 hour 4x per week on an indoor trainer and these are my faves to put on knowing I won't get too sweaty. I'm on the upper end of the medium range but they fit really well and haven't noticed any consistency issues in quality. Would strongly recommend - esp at the current sale price.

I use the Covert Liner every time I mountain bike. I actually just purchased my second pair for rotation purposes while the other liner is in the wash and I still need to get out and hit the trails. Very comfortable and breathable. I don?t notice them while I wearing them, which is exactly how I want it.

As a 163 pound, 33 inch waist, experienced rider, I am clearly in the "31.5 - 34.5in" medium size range according to the sizing guide. I ordered 4 pairs of these liners in medium. 2 of the 4 ripped at the waist band stitching when I tried them on. Those 2 were immediately returned. I opted to keep the other 2 and use them. After many ride / wash cycles the remaining 2 liners are in good condition with no failed seams. Pads are very good quality and remain effective. The liners were initially a bit too snug but I thought after a couple uses they'd loosen slightly. They did not. I should have sized up to large which I find comical given the supposed "34.5 - 37.5in" stated in the sizing guide. I have several other liner shorts from different brands including Fox and Troy Lee. All are size "32" or "medium" and fit perfectly.

Nice shorts. Comfortable, nice material, soft chamois. I wouldn't say these are low rise, I'd say they are perfect rise. They are right inline with my outer shorts. Unlike so many liners that come up high like grandpa pants. I'll be using these for the warmest weather when I want to shed the bibs. Not as nice as specialized liners but for $60... pretty nice. How about not making them in China... support a free country in Asia instead? Did I mention this is the first non-bib I've ever had that actually stayed up the entire ride...no mid-ride pull up my pants.... excellent!

Good first effort, but...

The low rear waist band really takes away from a lot of the other positives. Construction and chamois are more than adequate. No irritating stitch points. Description lists silicone leg grippers. I guess that's true, but don't attempt to use these with knee warmers. The grippers aren't tall enough or grippy enough to secure warmers The low riding rea waist band is really noticeable and I wish I'd seen this in the reviews before purchasing. Glad I didn't pay full price.

I like these. Fit pretty normal for me. Padding is minimal but effective, and the material is very air-y.... Good for warm weather.

Great materials from the waist band to the pad on the chamois. Great price for good quality. They don't get saggy in the crotch and they breathe when you sweat. These are great if you are looking for a house brand that has quality and a good price

I've used this for bike touring and it has helped keep me comfortable and having fun on the bike. Low profile appearance is great. Padding is good. Attached is a photo for what it looks like (no others available. It can get a little hot if you are wearing certain kinds of underwear underneath, so if you run into that issue you may want to try a few different variations. Overall comfortable, will likely buy another pair.

I've used these about 4 times on 10+ mile rides on east cost mountain bike single track. They always perform well. The elastic around the quads keeps everything in place. I bought these when they were on sale so the padding and material matched my expectations. I really couldn't ask for anything more. They cushion what they should and they breathe, keeping everything comfortable. Easy to wash, no special care. I don't do extended rides that might benefit from more padding. I have a muscular athletic shape. I bought a medium but would likely go for a large in the future just to give me a little more room in the butt. The waist slips down a little giving any chasers a view I'd rather not share. I wear shorts over them and don't worry about the extra air.
