We wanted a low-profile, durable crash pad that would brace our falls on uneven terrain. That's why we teamed up with the bouldering experts at Metolius to make the Party Pit 2.0 Crash Pad. Named after and inspired by a favorite local bouldering area, this pad was designed to cushion your dry fires on blocky, slanted landings without being too bulky for quick adjustments.

Great additional pad
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Fairly firm feel. Great for adding on to your collection of pads for bigger problems. I wouldn't use it as your haul pad since the shoulder straps connect just to the fabric of the padding sleeve and will begin stretching if you crank down on the shoulder straps.

Bought this as a companion to the metolius magnum. Same quality. Perfect. Would buy again. Backpacking straps are as good as anything else for carrying a bulky square mat on your back.... I'm a 6'4" broad shoulder guy as well and manage just fine. I've used this pad about 6 long days with several freinds, and shows no signs of wear.

Ripping after three uses

I?m pretty disappointed I took it out on only three climbing trips and it?s already tearing apart on the fabric closure system on the bottom, it still works, but the seem is fraying and unraveling. Also as someone with broad shoulders, I find the backpack straps too close together and rather uncomfortable for any approach > 10 minutes.

Had this thing for over a year now and gotten tons of use all over CO and Joe's Valley. Great pad to beat the crap out of. Holds a big nalgene, camelback backpack, 2 pairs of shoes, wood warm-up block, and chalk bucket, all within the little flap (i hang the shoes on the closing strap). Works great and it's light weight! I prefer carrying this over my friend's Organic pads. The velco keeping it open also makes it super easy to move around when you're spotting. It's a pad that keeps you from dying, what more could you ask for!
