Those burpees, box jumps, and lifting sessions have met their match: the Asics Men's MET-Conviction Shoe. Fashioned specifically for high-intensity training, these lightweight trainers offer paramount performance with their moisture-wicking ComforDry sockliner, flexible forefoot, and SpEVA midsole material, which provides a responsive feel and ultimately increases midsole longevity. The AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Rubber) is more durable than standard rubber and consequently is placed in areas that endure high wear-and-tear—so you can blast through burpees in stride.

    Great workout shoe!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 13

A little snug, but no pressure points. More comfortable on my wide feet and LONG toes than Metcons. Way better than Nanos.
Low drop, little cushion, stable and supportive. And cheaper on Backcountry than anywhere else I found, with free shipping! Couldn be happier!

    great every day shoe

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10.0 / 44EU

I bought these shoes to wear as an every day shoe and they are great. Light weight, low on bulk, great traction on DRY surfaces. They are a perfect gym shoe because they do not have the bulk of a running shoe so when you are doing running drills where you have to sprint turn and repeat, you don't feel like tripping over your own feet. It took about 2 full days for the shoes to break in and feel comfortable, and they are perfect for people with a lower volume foot like me. This shoe is a no go for someone with high volume feet. I buy all of my shoes in European size and those fit true to size for a 44EU.

If you have a walk from your car to wherever on snow or ice, they give no traction for that, but if you know that, you can be careful with how you walk.

    just opened box, too small

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

I have yet to wear these. I just opened them up and tried them on and they are really tight and small. I have big feet so I am pretty used to this. I will try to find a different pair of shoes before I decide to return these or not. They seem like they are well constructed and are exactly what I was looking for, just not the best sizing/fit.

    Asics Shoe

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I use these shoes strictly for the gym, and they really work well. Light weight, low profile, yet seemingly durable for the short use time so far. Good stability, not a ton of cushioning, so I wouldn't want to do a lot of pavement running in them. The fits seems to accommodate wide feet well, at least at larger size(14).

A little pep in his step

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small

I bought these shoes for my husband because he loves Asics. He has wide feet and while they were a little tight, he loves how they feel. It's like he's not wearing any shoes, but still has great arch support
