Why We Like The Reactor 25L Tour Ultralight
Faster and lighter, Arva's Reactor 25 Tour Ultralight Airbag Backpack tips the scale at a meager 2lbs 13oz so we can still be light on our feet while we tour through backcountry terrain. Just because it's lighter doesn't mean Arva modified the airbag to be lighter, but rather paired the Reactor with an ultralight backpack that still boasts plenty of features, as well as a capacity suitable for the most demanding tours.
The airbag itself features a gas canister deployment (cylinder sold separately) through dual air chambers around your neck, head, and sides for increased shock absorption and overall reliability. There's a chance an avalanche could pop an airbag, but this bag's dual chamber design can help you stay afloat if only one chamber pops. Plus, Arva made the safe-locking, retractable handle completely adjustable so you can place it right where you want.

In reply to @DanLazer I work at a shop that fills these and other brands canisters almost daily. There is no way it was filled properly and 'leaked out". One of the last filling steps is to validate no leaks by placing it in water, confirming a good seal. Arva has a higher pressure (more inflation power) than other brands and a very simple design once you know what you are working with, way better than a 2-3 year old battery and less mainenance. You should only need to check the weight once a year to confirm simply it has the required air pressure/weight (+68g from empty). 3100 psi does not leak overnight either, brands with gauges (or more potential failure points) show this if they are slowly leaking. I have several friends that have gauge style canisters that slowly leak. You may want to check with where you got it filled if you did not buy it pre-filled, or anytime email service@arvaequipment and they would make sure you are setup properly, or they do mail-in refills too.

I love this pack! Great design, pounds lighter than my previous pack and with the carbon canister I don’t know if you can find a lighter airbag. I’ve been buried due to a poor design with multiple fail points and the airbag didn’t deploy. Been nothing but happy with this pack.
