Angler's Accessories Deluxe Net Retractor

What is the point of a net retractor if it can't even hold a net? As soon as we attached the net, it pulled and hung down at least a foot. I understand that it's not supposed to hold the weight of a rock, but really? Was expecting something better as that's precisely what it is designed to do. Furthermore, the ring to which you attach the net was difficult to work with, and ended up permanently bent after attaching the net. Overall, just seemed like a very poor design, much easier to attach the net to your pack or sling.

Seemed very well made. Unfortunately for me the net I currently have is the wood Wetfly Catch and Release Fishing Net size small,(item number WET0002) which is a little too heavy for this retractor.
