I wouldn't buy this
The shoes fits right and is responsive, the only issue I had it with it is it got too hot in my feet. By the end of the 4 miles run my feet were burning.

They don't last
I have the wides because Altra doesn't make these in the original foot shape. The soles of the shoes feel like flat tires after about 175 miles - and I have yet to have a pair make it past 250 miles without the fabric ripping where it meets the sole.

Loving them. My new daily running shoes
It is nice to have a pair of running shoes that feel great and help my feet get stronger. My Torin 6s have become my most reliable running shoes. I use these for everything from 5 miles to half marathons!

Good shoe but colorways are a snooze.
I own Torin 6 in wide and normal width. Both are great and have held up so far. Altra needs to mix up the midsole colors. The usual white midsole is BORING! FWD EXPERIENCE midsoles - A+. Torin 7- F

Time to move on I guess...
This is my 6th pair of Torins..and likely my last. I dont understand companies obsession with "improving" great shoes. Cheap tongue cuts into ankle, heal support rubs ankle. Flimsy and uncomfortable, they changed everything that was good about the original

I wouldn't buy this product again.
I haven't even worn the shoe yet and when unboxing them the stitching was already torn apart. There's multiple comments concerning the shoes durability or lack there of and it shows from the start.

Not as true to size as previous Torin models
Ended up purchasing 2 pairs of the 6's, during Altra's Labor Day sale. All of my Altras are size 10 (Lone Peak 4.5/6, Torin 4.5 plush, escalante 2.5) so I bought a size 10 and they fit great. Now the Torin 6's are a different story, not only do they feel a 1/2 size smaller, but definitely narrower in the mid foot. I had a pair of Altra Outroads. I had to return them because they felt a full size smaller. Wish Altra would make a custom shop where one can order older models. Anyways just order a 1/2 size up. Still going to use the 6's though I'll just have to try them on at an actual store before ordering online.

Great shoe but the soles were treadless in two months
Love the function and comfort of the shoes but I wore through the soles in a matter of a few weeks, and I'm a light frame. The price of the shoes doesn't meet expectations of longevity. Also FWIW, based on often comical conversations with fellow distance runners, it appears we have hit the dark ages of road shoe color options. Can we please get away from only white soles and color combos inspired by rainbowbrite? I'd like them to appear clean beyond a few miles.

My first Altras..
I bought these back in May. They blew out on me at about 250 miles, today. I'm new to running and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad number of miles for a shoe... but it sure seems like if I'm needing shoes every 250 miles that's gonna get expensive.

Not as good as the Old Torin
The foam on the edge of the tongue cuts like a knife into the front of the ankle, and curls along the sides when putting the shoe on. Cushion in the sole of the shoe felt great. Heal cup fabric tore within 30 miles of use, causing blistering whenever I wore them afterwards. Tossing them out today after 40 miles of use, feeling wasteful since there still plenty of good tread on them and they're still look new.
