Why We Like The Ibex 1 Tent
The Alps Mountaineering Ibex 1 Tent is lightweight for backpacking and comfortable for car camping from fall to spring. Alps Mountaineering built the walls out of no-see-um mesh for maximum ventilation and airflow, and the floor and fly out of PU-coated polyester taffeta for abrasion- and water resistance. One door and one vestibule give you plenty of space, and aluminum poles ensure a lot of headspace as well as a quick and simple setup. There are mesh storage pockets inside the tent for smaller items like your keys and headlamps. Alps Mountaineering also added stakes, guy lines, and repair swatches for your convenience.

Awesome
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I used this tent on a camping trip in rocky mountains co. It rained all 3 nights I was there. One night it rained for 10 hours straight. Gratefully not even one single drop of rain passed the rain cover nor the floor got wet. Honestly I didn't not expect this from a tent in this price range but it definitely surprised me and kept me dry and safe. I have also used this tent in dry low 40s a bunch and it has worked perfectly. Highly recommend it as a 3 season backpacking tent. By the way, ull have enough room for u and ur backpack.

ALPS IBEX 2
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 2 man
- Height:

- Weight:

Had a chance to set up my ALPS IBEX2 tent and experience a brief rain shower. Tent assembles easily. Didn?t even need the directions. Plenty of room for 2 people and their gear. Nice quality with no issues whatsoever. Didn?t leak during the rain shower and like the full coverage fly that attaches easily. I?ve got the ALPS Mystique 1.0 that?s been on numerous outings over the past 4 years with no issues either. I like ALPS products and recommend them.

Almost 5 Stars

I bought this 1 man tent for a 3 night Eastern Sierra backpacking trip above 10,000ft. I wanted to shed a couple pounds from the 2 man tent I already owned. The Ibex was made of durable materials, was easy to set up, and provided plenty of interior space for me. The hardest part was getting in and out of the tent since the door was at the front. My 2 man tent has a side access point making it easier to slide my legs out first. I did not have an opportunity to run any rain tests. Ventilation was good and the tent never felt stuffy. The only thing that would have elevated my review was if the overall packed weight was a tad lighter, under 3lbs. The Ibex is a solid 1 man option!
