Very good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I’m liking it, but did get a blister. Need to wear them some more to see if that was a one time thing or if they are a problem for me.

Fantastic feeling

I got these shoes specifically for a relay trail race that was a mix of single track and some fine and some typical loose gravel trails. Of course, it rained heavy the night before and some during the run but had no issues with mud sticking and was able to keep my footing well. These shoes definitely have that rolling forward feeling, perfect for racing. I do not plan to use them for training runs as I think it would be hard to hold back, but I didn't find it difficult to walk or stand in them after getting used to them so one could use for multiple paces if desired. I ordered half size down and fit was perfect for me, plenty of room in the toe box.

Great running shoes!
I love running and these shoes are the best ones for me. I love putting these shoes on my feet every time I go running and I will never wear any other shoes for running. Great traction too!

They definitely make a difference - I miss them w.
I was able to go down half a size (I might be able to go down a full size).

Made my feet really sore.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Soft and cushioned but made my feet really sore during a 100 mile trail race. More comfortable on the road sections which is odd. Wouldn’t wear them again for long distance runs but probably fine for 50k. Very narrow in the toe box and wide in the heel which is annoying.

Excellent, but not perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toe box is fairly wide and high volume. The fit across the midfoot is tight and contrasts the openness of the toe box dramatically. The heel counter itself is loose with no structure but feels secure when laced up. I actually prefer this kind of heel fit. The shoe fit is 'true to size', though slightly wider than other Adidas offerings. When first laced up, they feel like a firm road shoe. There is a VERY pronounced feeling that this shoe is intended for fore or midfoot striking. The midsole is so heavily rockered that you feel like you're either rocking forward and going to fall over or rock backward and fall over. Not comfortable whatsoever for walking, again, much like a road race shoe. Once you begin running, the rockered design dominates everything. They roll through the gait cycle very fast, and they demand a high cadence. There is no aggressive road shoe pop on toe off. This is likely due to the fact there is no carbon in these shoes. Instead, you get a hint of bounce from the midsole, but nothing more. The ride is firm but not harsh. Slightly bouncy, but smooth. They feel like a firmer version of an Adios Pro 3. Imho, Lightstrike Pro comes alive around 50-75 miles of usage. The outsole has a superb grip on the trails I ran (hard pack, loose over hard, some tech) , though I suspect they'll suck on gravel, scree, or anything wet. My only real 'issue' with the Speed Ultra is the STACK HEIGHT. These shoes give you the feel or sense that you're standing on top of the shoe and not down inside the shoe. This makes them feel unstable on uneven terrain, just like a high stack road shoe when going around a sharp turn at threshold intensity. This may just take getting used to, or perhaps I'll break an ankle. Who knows? To conclude, these shoes are fast. They're going to absolutely fly on smooth single-track and fire roads. I doubt I will ever take them on very technical terrain like the east side of the High Sierra.

Just fabulous
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sheer comfort and the extra grip over the adizero ones is a game changer for me

It's a MUST for trail.
I was hesitated about the shoes at first, especailly I had necer tried Adidas trail line before. The grip was amazing, first run on wet rocks and muddy trail, I did not slip once. Heel counter is well protected. I am amazed. The ride is really fun ride, not to soft and hard, it gives the perfect balance between the two and high energy return.

Best trail runner underfoot but toe box is narrow.
Extremely responsive and springy under foot. Best trail runner I’ve tried by far. The only issue I had with the shoe is that the toe box is more on the narrow side, and rubbed my pinky toe raw after 3 miles. Other than that though it’s fun and fast ride.

Game Changer!
Probably the best running shoes I’ve ever worn from road and trail. So comfy and quick at the same time. Really was an unexpected awesome experience!
