Why We Like The Project .23 GF Helmet
The added protection of a full-face helmet instantly increases descending confidence, but some designs limit breathability to the point where you don’t even want to use it. The Project .23 GF Helmet from 7 Protection is specifically designed for enduro racers who have to do a ton of pedaling by demand, and features a plethora of lightweight and ventilation focused details. First and foremost, 23 big bore vents throughout the shell supply ventilation around your entire head and face to ensure no hot-spots ruin your ride. The fiberglass shell is lighter than traditional plastics but offers a lower price tag when compared to carbon models. The front of the helmet features a special Through Flow design which ventilates air into the side of your goggles to eliminate fogging and excess moisture build up around your eyes.

Too big and too small

A lot of side to side movement possible as someone else mentioned. Only helmet I ever put on and quickly thought “nope”. It’s like it either sits oddly against the back of my head and correctly in forehead area or vice-versa. Not something I could ever be comfortable in. Unfortunate because it’s relatively light, a good price, and seems well ventilated. Now I get to pay to ship it back…

Well, as awesome as backcountry is...this is gonna have to go back for the second time. My head measures just a hair over 57cm. A medium in this is supposedly 57-58. I ordered the medium first and it was huge. I could twist the helmet side to side like crazy. But I loved the look and seems well made, so I returned the medium and got the small which is 55-56cm. Got it in, and at first thought it was better. Then gave it the twist test and I can still twist it side to side too much for my liking. I think maybe my head shape just doesn't agree with this. If this fits you, I think you'll really enjoy it. One bummer, it does not come with any extra pads to adjust fit. The search continues.....bummed because this thing looks awesome, and seems to be well made.
