The story of the Union SL Binding starts with a raw concept of a utilitarian, all-mountain binding. From there you get direct input from a pro team at the forefront of the sport. Then it goes back to the mad scientists in the lab, who take the input and make all the necessary tweaks so it's lighter, stronger, and more comfortable-er. This process makes the SL a standout year after year among all the bindings out there—whether 'there' is a park, an untracked backcountry zone, or anywhere else on the mountain.

- Asymmetrical/symmetrical highback is symmetrical in shape, yet asymmetrical in flex
- CNC-cored base weighs in at a mere 200g thanks to the carbon-injected Dupont Zytel material
- CNC-machined heel loop is made the hard way by carving it out of a solid block of metal—not bending it—for extra strength
- Open toe strap has been put on a diet by cutting out the material in the middle of the strap
- Injected EVA bushings underneath the base allow for true board flex instead of a dead spot under your feet
- Universal Disks provide insane stance options and work with 3-hole and the Channel system
- Shift on the Fly Forward Lean lets you go from the park to the steeps without bringing a tool-set with you
