Lowest Price Guarantee

If a competitor has an item available online at a lower final price (after any tax and shipping costs), we will beat the product price by 5%.

  • The item must be in stock, and the price must be currently listed.
  • The item must be sold by a U.S.-based online retailer authorized by the brand. Auction sites excluded.
  • The item must be identical and in new condition (same size, color, model year).

If a product you find matches these conditions, contact a Gearhead® Expert before you place your order, and we’ll adjust the price.


If you find a product that meets these conditions after you’ve already made a purchase, contact a Gearhead Expert within 48 hours and we’ll refund the difference.

Price-match discounts cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. All competitor pricing must be verifiable online, and approval for price matching is made at the discretion of Backcountry staff.

What’s Not Included?

  • Rebates, free offers, and one-time-only or bundled promotions
  • Advertised pricing from a competitor based on a misprint or typo
  • Services like ski tunes or bike rentals
  • Protect+ Powered by Extend™ products and custom orders
  • 3rd party sellers like eBay and Amazon and cash-back affiliate purchases (e.g., Active Junky)

Sale Items

If you see something on sale, don’t wait to strike! Sale prices are not permanent and special promotions often end within a few days.

If we put an item on sale less than 30 days after you bought it at full price, let us know and we’ll credit you the difference. This offer only applies to purchases made within the last 30 days, and only if we have the same size and color of the item that you originally purchased in stock.
