SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN IN THE BACKCOUNTRY NAME THE GOAT GIVEAWAY (“Sweepstakes”). A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. SWEEPSTAKES BEGINS AT 12:00AM MOUNTAIN ON FEBRUARY 23 2023 AND ENDS AT 11:59 PM MOUNTAIN ON MARCH 2 2023 (“Sweepstakes Deadline”).

ELIGIBILITY:
Except residents of Florida, New York, and Rhode Island, Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia, age 18 or older, except employees (and their immediate families and members of the same household) of Backcountry.com LLC (“Sponsor”) and its affiliates, agents, judges and advertising and promotion agencies. If a winner resides in Alabama, Mississippi, or Nebraska and is under the legal age of adulthood, the winner will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign a release form.
HOW TO ENTER:

Complete an Entry Form by following @backcountrycom on TikTok and commenting your chosen name for the goat on the Sweepstakes post.

Each comment constitutes one Entry. Entrants can submit unlimited entries before the Sweepstakes Deadline. Each comment must contain a different name for the goat to be counted as an Entry. If entrant submits multiple entries with the same name, only one will be counted as an Entry. If multiple entrants submit the same name, and the name is chosen as the winner, the entrant who submitted the Entry first will be selected as the winner.

No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered or mechanically reproduced, facsimile or photocopied entries will be accepted. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, or misdirected entries, all of which are void. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Winners will be chosen from all eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes Deadline in a drawing from the comment section on the Sweepstakes Deadline (the “Drawing”). The Drawing will be conducted by representatives of Sponsor whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
PRIZES AND ODDS:
There will be three (3) prizes awarded, including one (1) Grand Prize and 2 prizes for the runner-up and second runner-up.
TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES:
The winner who submits the chosen name of the goat will receive the Grand Prize, consisting of either:
1. A full snowboard setup, including the winner’s choice of snowboard, boots, bindings, jacket, pants, helmet, and googles, subject to availability on Backcountry.com; or
2. A full ski setup, including winner’s choice of skis, boots, bindings, poles, jacket, pants, helmet, and googles, subject to availability on Backcountry.com.
The runner-up will receive:
1. ONE (1) Backcountry Cardiac GORE-TEX PRO Jacket, and
2. ONE (1) Backcountry Cardiac GORE-TEX PRO Bib Pant.
The second runner-up will receive:
1. ONE (1) Backcountry.com Gift Card worth $50
ARV: $50.00

Total ARV of all prizes: $4,098.00.

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes Deadline. All prizes will be awarded (assuming sufficient number of eligible entries.) Limit: one prize per person, family or household. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. No other substitution or transfer of prizes permitted. Sponsor is responsible only for prize delivery. Sponsor is not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of winners. Winners will be required to provide Sponsor with a signed IRS Form W-9 before receiving their prizes. Sponsor will report the ARV of prizes awarded on IRS Form 1099 to the extent required by law.
VERIFICATION OF WINNERS AND DELIVERY OF PRIZES:
Within seven (7) calendar days of being notified, winners will be required to sign and return to Sponsor a declaration of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Prizes may be awarded to alternate winners if declarations/releases are not completed at the time that prizes are awarded or if the selected winner is found to be ineligible under these Terms. Winners agree to use of name, address, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law.
RELEASE:
By receipt of any prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
GENERAL:
This Sweepstakes is void outside the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Sweepstakes will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Utah. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes if any cause outside of Sponsor’s control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted on a Backcountry Name the Goat Giveaway website and a random drawing will be held from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such time. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant (and entrant’s submission) from this Sweepstakes or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliates if entrant tampers with the entry process or if entrant’s fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to correct clerical or typographical errors in promotional materials. Sponsor is not responsible for any technical failure in the entry process. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that entrant is eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes.

By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to Sponsor’s Terms of Use and acknowledges that their information may be used consistently with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

To obtain a list of winners, send an email message to socialmedia@backcountry.com and type “Name the Goat Giveaway Winners” in the subject line. Winners list will be sent after selection and verification of winners. Any requests for the list of winners must be received by Backcountry by ONE DAY AFTER LAST DAY OF SWEEPSTAKES.
