Gearhead Picks: Ruffwear Front Range Harness

The Perfect Accessory for Your Adventure Dog

Keep your adventure dog comfortable with the Ruffwear Front Range Harness. On this episode of Gearhead Picks, Backcountry Gearhead Hailey Terry shares why she loves this harness for her dog, and some of the features that make it perfect for adventuring with your four-legged friend.

Welcome to Gearhead Picks! I’m Hailey, a Backcountry Gearhead and dog mom. I bring my dog Summit on all my adventures, and I wanted him to be comfortable on long hikes and runs. I got him the Ruffwear Front Range Harness so he doesn’t have the pressure of a collar around his neck.

This harness is really easy to get on and off Summit, and it’s fully adjustable for a customized fit. Summit is 45lbs and the size medium fits him perfectly.

The chest and belly panels are padded to keep Summit comfortable on our longest adventures. This harness does a really good job of spreading out pressure when he gets excited and pulls.

There are two leash points: one on the back for our everyday walks and one on the chest for training or those times when you need a little extra control.

And if we’re ever out after dark, I can easily spot Summit with my headlamp thanks to the reflective details on the harness.

There’s even a little storage pocket at the front of the harness to keep his ID tag from jingling when he’s running around!
