Why We Like The Wolf Tooth Waveform Aluminum Pedals
Designed for whatever type of mountain riding we are doing, the Wolf Tooth Waveform Aluminum Pedals have us stoked on their unique design and quality build. These pedals feature a dual-concave design, which helps to hold our foot in place, and a more stable platform. 11 replaceable steel pins per pedal side provide maximum grip, and the pins are installed from the opposite side for easy service. Three sealed, high-performance bearings keep this pedal operating for many miles to come, and a custom radial seal helps to protect the internals from the elements.

Very Disappointed
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Used the pedals for three rides and now the left pedal spindle floats, creaks and cannot be tightened. I was afraid something might have been wrong with these pedals to to the fact they were used when BC sent them to me. I didn't spend $200 bucks for used pedals, but I thought "what could go wrong?". Even though the pins were worn and the paint scratched off, I was still keen to give them a go. I see now why they were returned. Sadly, since I didn't even open the box until after the 30 days expired (due to back surgery -I couldn't ride)I may be out of luck on an exchange. Have to give BC a 1 star for selling me used pedals for brand new prices and these pedals a 1 star for breaking so quickly. They should have lasted much longer than this. But I am a glutton for punishment (perhaps) since I like the brand and pedals, I may try another set of same.

Yes, if...

Purchased these after becoming frustrated having to rebuild my oneup aluminum pedals too frequently to avoid squeaking on the trail. The waveform pedals seem to be of good build quality and certainly look nice but won't be for everybody. After riding them for about a month, I have not adjusted completely to the narrower "q factor" of the pedal. They still feel narrow on the bike. Maybe I am just accustomed to a slightly wider stance on my flat pedals and I will adjust over time. Despite the concavity of the platform and the plentiful pins, I do not feel that the waveforms are as grippy as the oneup aluminum pedals. I have also noticed an increase in pedal strikes. Apparently those few extra millimeters in thickness make a difference on my home trails. This is completely subjective, of course, just one rider's experience. In short, the waveforms have a high quality build and are a solid choice, but narrower stance may be a turn off for some.
