Please can you provide for the M size the actual mesurements of armpit to armpit, sleeve length and total length of this jacket? Thanks !
The Medium size measurements for this jacket are as follows:
Chest: 38 - 39in
Sleeve Length: 34 - 35in
Waist: 32 - 34in
Inseam: 30 -32in
Outseam: 40 - 42in
Total Length: ~32in (based off what I found on http://www.6pm.com/volcom-snow-l-gore-tex-jacket-black & http://www.evo.com/shell-jackets/volcom-l-gore-tex-jacket.aspx#image=69695/340835/volcom-l-gore-tex-jacket-blue.jpg).
I'll attach a sizing chart that I found, and I presume the numbers directly beneath the alphabetical size representations are the numerical lengths of the men's tops (i.e. the "length" measurement you wanted)
Thanks for your question.
I have measured this jacket for you in a medium and I have come up with the following dimensions for you.
Pit to pit: 23 inches
Center back length: 31 inches
Sleeve length: 28 inches (actual sleeve length - not from center of back)
I hope this helps you out
Thank you very much!!!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I spent quite a long time trying to decide on a new jacket. After a lot of research, I landed on this puppy. I have only snowboarded in it five or six times, but so far I am one happy customer.
I live in the PNW, so bluebird days are hard to come by. So far I've used the jacket in high winds, fresh snow, and misty conditions, but stayed warm and dry. Compared to my old jacket that acted more like a wetsuit than a waterproof layer, the L stops water in it's tracks. Even when a nice icy layer built up from hours in a cold, misty cloud, and eventually melted, I was bone dry.
The fit is great. I like my gear a little on the baggy side, so I went with the large (5'-11" 170 lbs). The sleeves fit well over my gloves, the length comes down just past my butt, and the neck comes up to a perfect height to help you both hide from the elements and work on your goggle tan. I'm pretty sure the hood fits well over my helmet as well, although I can't say I ride with it up often.
The pow skirt has a nice elasticity to it. I don't have Volcome pants, so I can't use the zip-in feature. The good news is that the skirt also has a few little clips, so if you have loops on your pants like I do, you can secure the skirt from riding up into a bra during heavy falls.
There are three main external pockets. My old jacket had a lot more organization built into it, but I definitely like the simplicity of the L. Plus I found that the Velcro 'media pocket' inside the chest pocket works perfectly for a few cards, cash, or an RFID season pass.
I'll check back once I can give the L a more thorough beating, but so far I'm pretty psyched about it. The large is a perfect, loose fit, and the blue is mega sexy. Plus the main zipper is also a whistle - how cool is that?!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Bought the blue one in medium. Love it. The inner lining has angry wolves printed all over it. Plenty of storage, plenty of adjustments, and the all powerful Gore-Tex to defeat the day of wetness.
Also don't sell yourself short buying just the jacket and not Volcom pants, Zip-tech is awesome for the deep snow days.
is the orange on this jacket bright, or...
is the orange on this jacket bright, or more of a burnt orange?
it's bright as hell!
XL is huge for me
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
I am 6.1ft tall and the jacket when I put my arms out to the side covers my palms almost to where my fingers start and is very long and wide for me. I am pretty normal size just too much room for me. I will go down to a large size now, I love the zip tech in this jacket.
