You're not known for moderating, and your approach to minimalist running is proving to be extreme, even for you. You're often found pounding technical trails wearing only the Vivobarefoot Mens' Trail Freak Running Shoes and a visor. A bit more burly than typical five-fingered shoes, the Trail Freak keeps the 0-drop profile but gives you the great grip of 4.5mm lugs for traction on twisty and tricky trails. Slather on the sunscreen, lace up the Trail Freak, and satisfy your inner outdoor speed-demon with jaunt in the woods.
3M mesh and the laminated overlays are engineered to fit like a second skin so your feet can get their freak on in a totally natural fashion. The mesh lets fresh air in while keeping trail trash out, and the overlays offer a smidgen of support when you batten down the hatches. The Lock-Lace system combines a drawcord with a toggle for ultra easy in and out. The entire shoe is lined with Dri-Lex to suck up foot sweat, avoiding any potential slippery situations. The V-trek sole is a rugged 2.5mm to save your sole from insults. The 4.5mm, multi-directional lugs are deep enough to get a good grab on any type of terrain and still small enough so as not to interfere with proprioception. You do know that wearing a pair of shorts with the Trail Freak won't take you out of the minimalist movement, right?
