If your new to racing and training pick up this book. Great information and really helps with understanding how a training plan should look. Its not your end all be all to training but covers the basic foundation.


Decent Guide for Self Coached Athletes

This is a great guide for setting up a training program for yourself. I only wish it was more helpful in developing daily workouts. I feel like it gets you 90% there and then says good luck, you figure out the rest.

Agreed. Gives you the skeleton to design your own workout plan, but doesn't provide enough in the way of actual workouts for developing aerobic, muscular etc. Good place to start, but will take some initiative and further research to develop your own plan.
