Description

A lightweight, tough-as-nails ride without the heavy price tag.

Don't skimp on performance and durability just because you're a little short on funds this month—you'll end up paying more in the long run. Instead, get a quality binding like the Union DLX Snowboard Binding that you can count on day in and day out without dropping a fortune on it.

If you're not sold on the lightweight and responsive Stage 1 Zytel ST base, the lifetime warranty against breakage should do the trick. A Multizone highback allows you to tweak your grabs hard while still offering enough support for bombing down steeps, and an extruded anodized aluminum heelcup reduces weight while maintaining strength and stiffness. The Direct-Connect ankle strap provides a secure and responsive fit without creating painful pressure points, and the Open Toe Strap is low-profile and cored-out to wrap around the front of your boot for a comfy and secure fit.

  • Stage I Dupont Zytel ST baseplate
  • Extruded anodized aluminum heelcup
  • Injected EVA bushings

Decent Union Bindings

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had a similar issue with these bindings as Julien shared. My previous pair of boots were outdated and had a very squishy toe, which compressed and quickly un-ratcheted the bindings when attempting to tighten.

I used a small screwdriver to pull on the ratchet spring which led to tightening up the clamp-down. Haven't had any locking problems since my fix, but certainly less than I would expect from a well known Binding Manufacturer such as Union.

Overall decent binding for a good price, but Union needs to take a closer look at the springs used for the binding clamp-down.

Great Bindings but...

The bindings worked really good and held tight to my boot for the first 10 minutes of session. Then my toe straps stopped staying tight. The ratchet on the toe strap didn't work. Contacted some people and got some new ratchets. Everything works amazing now. Recommend these to people that don't want to spend much for an amazing binding.
