D3 Carbon Fiber Helmet

TLD began over 30 years ago. A teenager named Troy Lee painted helmets for his friends in his parents' garage. The operation is bigger now. Troy Lee Designs has become one of the most trusted names in motocross and mountain bike helmets and apparel. Always on the cutting edge of performance and design, TLD is one of those companies that sets the bar while everyone else scrambles to catch up. The D3 Carbon Fiber Helmet is a perfect example of this process in action. Of course, someone else might eventually design a helmet as good as the D3 CF, but by that time, who knows what Troy Lee will have cooked up?

The D3 CF is made with Troy Lee's carbon fiber shell. Carbon fiber has become the dream material for helmets because of its light weight and incredible durability. The helmet also comes with two visors, so you can pop a new one on in the event of a visor-smashing digger. The shell is accented with titanium hardware for light weight, strength, and additional bling. Troy Lee also threw in a custom helmet bag for a little added protection when you toss your helmet into the back of your buddy's beater shuttle-wagon.

The interior of the D3 CF is as sexy as its exterior. Full incremental sizing, rather than a cheesy adjustment system, gives the D3 a completely custom feel. Dual-density shock pads provide luxurious comfort and unprecedented protection. Incredibly, the D3 exceeds CPSC 1203, CE EN 1077, CE EN 1078, ASTM F1952 and ASTM F2040 safety standards. That's whole heap of standards. Troy Lee's comfort liner is completely removable, washable, and replaceable, so you don't have to buy a new helmet every year, no matter how funky the liner gets. The liner is also made with CoolMax and Dri-Lex moisture-wicking materials to keep your head dry and cool while you ride. Troy Lee also equipped the D3 with quick-release cheek pads to make the helmet easier to remove in case of an emergency.

Troy Lee didn't stop at padding to make the D3 the most comfortable helmet on the market. The D3's ventilation system keeps the air flowing with an advanced intake/exhaust system. 20 high-flow intake and exhaust ports, together with a new, deeper EPS channeling system provide cooling airflow through the helmet, so you won't feel like your head's on fire at the end of your run.

The Troy Lee Designs D3 Carbon Fiber Helmet comes in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large and is available in four colors–Pinstripe Black, Team Red/yellow, Peat World Champ Red, and Pinstripe Yellow.
