Description

Minimal on the surface but all business beneath the hood.

Trew Gear crafted the Men's Bellows Jacket to be its workhorse backcountry storm shell. Burly, 20K-rated waterproof breathable fabric keeps you dry and comfortable while you drop the hammer on lines far beyond the gates. Stash a PB&J in the massive chest pocket, drop the huge underarm zips for ventilation, and call your boss as you charge up a storm-day skin track. He'll get over your little sick-day transgression as long as you don't use your face-shot photos as your online profile pic.
  • 3-Layer Gelanots fabric adapts to your body's temperature changes by increasing the space between its molecules as your temperature rises, allowing heat to escape for comfortable temperature regulation
  • Gelanots fabric provides 20K-rated waterproofing so you dry amidst howling, soggy coastal storms and amidst sopping-wet Sierra-cement snow
  • Massive 16-inch underarm zips allow you to dump excess heat so you can cool down quick after a hot boot pack
  • Fleece-lined collar with DWR coating keeps your chin happy and won't absorb the moisture from your breath
  • Helmet-friendly storm hood and ergonomic powder skirt further seal out the elements on nasty days

Anybody got an opinion on the pistacio (upper portion of jacket) color? Looks cool on the TREW site but doesn't look as good in the backcountry picture.

A Tool Chest of a Jacket

The more I use this thing the more I love it. First I was stoked on it because it was ultra waterproof stylie and fit me real well. Then I started using it more in the backcountry. As packs get smaller and smaller and I carry more and more shit, the more this thing shines! I can fit gloves in the breast pockets when skinning, I can fit large volume goggles and and extra lenses easily in the google pocket. If I am rocking my gopro it can easily be stored in the breast pocket as well or say my balaclava is unneeded- stick it in a pocket. Its become a second pack for me because it is so spacious. Layering is key to this coat because it lets in no wind and is toasty even though it is with out insulation (still breathes excellent though). All in all this coat is bomber and really excels when you have a lot of crap to carry or do frequent, short, skin laps that require you to de-layer and do it all over again.

Technical and Roomy

Are you looking for something that screams style without giving up on techy performance? If so this is the jacket for you! It's nice lax cut allows you to feel the flow all day weather lapping the park or crushing pillows. The Bellows is all out comfort and with two over sized chest pockets it makes storing those little things super accessible. Weather bagging a big peak or lapping lifts you know you will feel and look great rockin the Bellows.

I got the large and it seems too long in the sleeves. Would a size medium fit better you think? I'm 5'10'' 160 lbs. With the cuff loose the sleeve goes all the way to the tips of my fingers when my arms are straight at my sides.
