The Chaka dominates your wardrobe in no time.

The Toad & Co. Women's Chaka Skirt goes from running errands, to work, and then to happy hour in a cinch. Its wide gathered waistband flatters your bode, while its slightly above-the-knee length makes it work appropriate attire. Its A-line silhouette keeps you from looking too old fashioned, and paired with some stellar heels your guy will have a hard time taking his eyes off of your toned calves.

Here's what others have to say...

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love these skirts! So easy to throw on and can be dressy or casual. I have a few colors I'm happy with them!
They do run a bit large, but I guess its the style, a xxs would be nice for smaller ladies.

Great length

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

I purchased this skirt in the "Dark Coral Aspen Print" and it's very cute. I love the print and the color is exactly what you see on the site. The skirt looks great with a tucked in tank top or T-shirt. Since the waist is a little 'bunchy' in detail, It doesn't look great with a shirt over top of it. I like the tucked in, semi- high waisted look when wearing this. You can wear this skirt with sandals, boots or a cute pair of sneakers.
Sizing: it does run slightly large so instead of ordering my typical size small, I went ahead with the XS and it fits great.

Love the Chaka Skirt

I purchased the Chaka skirt in Clove and it matches everything. It falls nicely and is very flattering, even on a not so thin figure. The large runs a bit large but the medium did not seem to as there was a big difference between the two.

I've had my original black Chaka skirt for years. It's the most versatile skirt I own. I wear it three seasons - it goes great with thick tights or leggings in fall. Super comfy totally non-binding waistband (binding waistbands are my pet peeve). Drapes nicely, no VPLs, and the black color is opaque. Casual and sporty, but can easily dress it up. One excellent feature is the waistband - it's made so you can wear it at the hips for a knee length skirt, or the waist for a cute short length. It has held up great thru frequent wears and washing.

I decided to get a new one for an upcoming trip. So I called up Backcountry, and it arrived here it two days later, thanks to my fantastically helpful CSR ("gear head"). The new one is exactly the same as my original one (except the size, see below). I expect great things from it.

Quick note about sizing. I'm 5'4" 112 pounds, about a 26" waist, straight-shape (not curvy). This skirt and other HT items from 2014 run larger than they used to. I ordered the XS as usual, and it is slightly big on me, even after washing. Just an FYI. Hope HT starts offering XXS.

I own this skirt in four colors. I bought the first one two years ago, and it's still going strong. The heathery colors are nice. I love the longer length on the long, but it looks like they are phasing it out. The shorter length works for me with tights. A great skirt for work, hiking, travel. It's meant to fit a little lower on the hips, so if you like your skirt on your waist, it may seem a bit large.

Great all around skirt

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:Runs large

I purchased this as a gift for my wife and she loves it, it is comfortable and stylish and she feels she can wear it pretty much anywhere. It runs slightly large is the only negative, but not so much that is has been an issue for her.

Great buy!

Picked this up for my mamacita for Mother's Day this year and she absolutely adores it! The fabric is soft, the fit is flattering and comfortable. Double recommend!

    Color not accurate

I ordered this skirt in Lapis. I was expecting the skirt to have a richer color blue like the picture above, but it turns out it is a much paler, dustier blue. If you look at the pictures backcountry posted in the comments on april 18th, that is a more accurate portrayal of the color. The fabric is very thin, and I have a little buyer's remorse over the price paid for this skirt, but as it is comfortable, organic cotton, and has a lifetime warranty, I plan to keep it.
