Super Practical & Durable
I bought this bag recently as a solution to my space issues with other camera bags. This bag is the perfect size for bigger jobs. I'm a freelance photographer who does a lot of weddings and always found myself carrying multiple bags & feeling super weighed down. This bag fits my Nikon D850 with two lenses + 2 different film cameras perfectly- and the best part is that it leaves room for my laptop, external hard drives, chargers, tripod, water bottle & all the miscellaneous items I might need for a job. It is so great to finally have a bag that can fit everything I need. The origami style padding is genius, and I don't feel nervous about the safety of my lenses. The fact that the zippers are designed so you can sling the bag around for easy access while on the go is honestly so helpful & not a feature I thought I would use as much as I do. A feature that I also really appreciate is the removable padded pod. It's perfect for when I'm shooting on a location where I don't want to be carrying around a large backpack the entire time & I also love the option to take it out and create more space if I needed for a weekend trip. There are so many pockets, I feel like every time I use the bag I discover a new one. I'm so happy to finally have pockets for keys, ear buds, wallet etc. rather than having to chuck everything in one big pocket. This makes me way less fearful of losing/leaving my belongings behind. The bag feels pretty durable. I will say it is relatively heavy even without anything in it, but that is to be expected with how much padding & how many pockets this bag has/not something I mind as the straps are super comfortable. I also wish the side pockets would be a bit deeper/better suited for water bottles, I definitely need a carabiner clip to keep my bottle secure & if I'm packed to the brim I'd sacrifice bringing a bottle that does not have a top I could clip (thermos) because it would certainly fall out. I'm super happy with this bag and am excited to continue using it- hopefully for the rest of my life! Finally, as a super bonus, this bag just looks so incredibly cool. Thanks Thule!

Getting the job done!
I bought this pack specifically for the camera portion. I travel for work have to bring a Canon R5 along with me. I pack a RF 15-35 on the camera and keep a RF 28-70 f2.0 up above (absolutely huge lens). I have my Macbook Pro and iPad in the available pockets. It is super tight when I have the cover on my iPad getting it in and out, but both computer and iPad are protected. I love the ability to put my (PD travel tripod) in the exterior side pocket and secure it with the strap. I do wish only one side of the pack had the tripod pocket and the other side was better suited for water bottles. My former pack (DSPTCH) had a perfect set up for this, but had the opposite problem of not carrying a tripod well. I always have a YETI Yonder or Rambler Bottle with me. Quality build overall, I'm not too worried about how this will hold up on my travels. The zippers seem a bit light especially when forcing the back panel closed with both iPad, Laptop and camera gear. Time will tell. Oh, I absolutely love the mesh top pocket ... it is magnetic / zippable pocket, so easy in and out for my Airpods, gum...etc. Stays closed with the magnet along and the mesh overlaps as well.

Great features... but would love a couple of fixes
The rear flap that holds the laptop was not completely thought out. When the flap is fully opened, a laptop will overcome the strength of the velcro and fall out. The laptop zipped compartment is nicely padded but when a laptop is in place it is really tough to close the rear zip if you have packed a camera in the main compartment. There needs to be a bit of a gusset and a better safety snap or clip to ensure the laptop is secure. The flat metal hooks used in other parts of the bag would be a great solution in this spot. (I am using a MacBook Pro 14 inch) The removable sling bag is terrific and side access to the camera is well thought out. The roll top flap is excellent for storing a jacket and I like the hook closure. It is secure and will not deteriorate as velcro would. The sewn strap on the back of the bag that is intended to slide over the handle of wheeled luggage is too tight. You cannot slide it over most handles. It needs some slack. The feature is really handy, so I was disappointed that it would not fit over my wheeled bag. I like how the waist strap can be stowed cleanly, but I would prefer a slightly beefier waist strap since most women will find that bearing the weight on the waist rather than the shoulders is far more comfortable. The current design is a bit flimsy and the buckle could be a bit beefier too. The side pockets intended to hold a water bottle are too snug and too short. If you put a water bottle in that space it will fall out. They need to be wider and taller to prevent the bottle from falling out. It would be ideal to have a loop sewn into the bag so the top of a typical steel/aluminum water bottle, like a Kleen Canteen, could be clipped at the top with a carabiner. Overall, the appearance of the bag is appealing and streamlined. The materials seem to be of high quality and the form factor is nice. However, I think that the bag was designed with cosmetics in mind and some of the details like the mis-sized or insecure spaces were not tested with a full bag. I find it difficult to believe that this was tested with a typical traveller’s inventory of goods. That said, the removable sling bag and camera access details are excellent.

great backpack for travel
i primarily purchased this for travel. i had a two week trip to hawaii, 3 islands and lots of activity. i loved the storage, pockets and ability to expand. while on each island i was able to quickly downsize and just use the camera pod. it fit everything i needed! i love the quality as well.
