Just ok for a soft boot

I was excited to try these boots out. I've been riding for a few years, I'm an intermediate all mountain rider and got these boots for their soft flex as I plan to hit the park more this season. They are soft, for sure. The initial flex out of the box was great. It took about three days to break them in, and after that I think they became too soft for me. I'll chalk that one up to user error - I did not expect these boots would soften up as much as they did once broken in. I did have to change the inner sole though - no support for my arches (but that was expected given the price point). These boots don't provide a lot of heel hold either, likely due to the way the liner cinches down. The biggest issue I've had with these boots is that after one run, the liner tongue on my front boot (left foot as I ride regular) shifts over to the side dramatically, leaving a big gap in front of my shin. No matter how much (or little) I tighten the liner and/or outer boot, this keeps happening. It makes the boot almost unrideable, as there is now a big gap between my shin and the outer boot. It's not unsafe per se, but I am definitely not getting the level of control I want from my boots, and I've had to stop multiple times halfway through a run to try to fix the issue. So... would I recommend this boot in the end? Yes, but only to an absolute beginner looking for a cushy boot straight out of the box, someone who's not going to be ripping down the mountain or hitting the pow. For anyone else, I'd recommend going with a boot of at least medium flex.
