The North Face Men's Ultra Hike II Mid GTX Boot is ideal for tackling technical terrain while carrying a heavy pack. It sports an internal cable cinch and hiking-specific midsole for the stability and support needed to handle uneven trails, steep ascents, and rocky ridgelines.
Abrasion-resistant mesh offers the right combination of breathability and durability, and PU-coated leather overlays increase toughness where it's needed most while keeping weight down. Cinch cables wrap around your foot from the laces for maximum support and minimal friction. Waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex keeps water out when you're trekking through wet terrain or rainy weather without turning your foot into a sweaty mess. The Flash Dry collar lining wicks away sweat and dries rapidly.
The new hiking-specific Cradle Guide midsole places a layer of EVA on top of a PU layer to deliver the perfect blend of support, cushioning, rebound, and lightness. Adding even more stability is an Ultra Protect shank plate, and Ultra Protect Cradle technology ensures proper heel support. It's finished off with a Vibram Megagrip outsole for reliable traction on all surfaces, in any conditions.
