Why We Like The Summit FUTUREFLEECE Full-Zip Hooded Jacket

It seems like everyone around us is wearing fleece tops made in the 70's and 80's, The North Face Summit FUTUREFLEECE Full-Zip Hooded Jacket is not that. This jacket uses a modern FUTUREFLEECE fabric to situate this piece as a technical midlayer rather then a casual pull-over. This new fleece fabric uses full-loops and octa-yarns to maximize warmth while minimizing weight so that we can move comfortably on backcountry tours or technical climbs.

Great Mountaineering Fleece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best fleece for mountaineering. I have worn it all seasons on glaciers, rock climbing trips, and scrambles. Super lightweight, and just the perfect warmth I need as mid layer. I have already bought a couple of these for my friends as birthday gifts.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He never would have bought it at this price. The color, weight and fit are perfect. He loved it but within a couple of months the zipper is failing. He has to keep it zipped and use as a pull over. I am Very disappointed in the quality especially for the price.

Looks cheap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fabric is thin and (in yellow) sheer. Looked cheap despite the $$$ price. Returned

Great piece. Warm for weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I open a ton of fleece. This is an awesome jacket. I would by again for sure. I actually sorta did as I have the lighter weight pullover. We will seee how long term durability of thumb loops is. Great for lightweight outdoor adventure or around town...

Nice light weight, low durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this lightweight fleece for a nice light layer while bouldering. It was very comfortable and light. However, for how expensive this product is, it didn't hold up well.

Poor fabric and poor customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as a gift. Thin fabric tore with first use. NF Store said send it in for repair/replacement and gave me another customer service number. 2 calls later and 2 different agents, both said send it in for repair. Weeks later item returned, unrepaired. Very disappointed, paid full price. Wouldn't recommend this product or North Face.

Excellent lightweight, warm option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use for early morning runs, hikes or even just as a casual jacket. Lightweight, well-fitted, warm and comfortable. I have this and 2 of the pullovers to compliment.

The length is too long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a gift for my father, but the length of the jkt is too long to fit. I was disappointed because I had high expectations because of the high price.
