We like The North Face Summit Breithorn Jacket for its versatility, ranging in use from a mid-layer for a cold day on the slopes to a warm, lightweight jacket for a day in the city. 800-fill ProDown insulation will keep your core temperature warm and comfortable while its recycled nylon ripstop body fabric with a DWR finish keeps you dry in wet conditions. Four total pockets store your on-the-go essentials, including the left side hand pocket which stows the jacket when the sun comes out and you need to shed a layer.

Perfect layering piece for Antarctica!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am OBSESSED with this jacket! Beyond the gorgeous color, it was the perfect piece of gear for our Antarctic expedition. The jacket is incredibly light which made for easy packing and quick/easy to pull in and out of the backpack as conditions changed. Although light weight, it was cozy and warm, and a perfect layering piece with a heavy parka and waterproof shell. I'm going to be sad to say goodbye to winter because I don't want to pack this jacket away just yet!

Perfect Jacket for Any Weather!

Best down technical jacket from TNF - IMHO
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Top notch functional down jacket. Incredibly warm, with deep pockets and sleeves meant for any and all snowsports - from the backcountry to the bitter cold sledding hill. I love the colors, and the outer fabric has just a little sheen to make it feel upscale. Note that it is long and narrow in the body if you're short waisted.
