Does this jacket act as a good windbreaker?...

Does this jacket act as a good windbreaker? I am looking for a shell to layer above my outdoor gear layers to block the wind.

I live in San Francisco and can say it makes a great windbreaker. Bought it specifically to ward off the fog/drizzle/wind of the winter months, and it's doing an excellent job.

I'm 5'4", 125 lbs, 36/27/37. According to the North Face chart, it looks like I'm in between sizes. What size should I get?

Or if someone has the measurements of the actual garment, I can make the decision myself. Thanks!

What temperatures is this jacket good for?...

What temperatures is this jacket good for? I live in Boston, so spring/fall are not only rainy and super windy, but can also be cold.

Best Answer Responded on

By itself, it might be good to 50°. The Pinehurst has absolutely no insulation included. You'll have to wear another layer underneath if you want to be warm.
