From the campus to the trail.

When it comes to your hiking gear and school work, The North Face Jester Backpack isn't joking around. The main compartment should be large enough to fit all your textbooks, and there's a secondary compartment for your hiking gear so you don't turn in a bag of trail mix instead of your final paper. The Jester also features a padded sleeve that fits most fifteen-inch laptops, and mesh side pockets for your water bottles. The breathable FlexVent shoulder straps stretch at your every move, and the foam back panel provides all the cush you need for day hikes.

  • FlexVent shoulder straps
  • Foam back panel
  • Removable waistbelt
  • Padded laptop sleeve
  • Secondary compartment with organization
  • Mesh side pockets

good for work

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this pack as my pack for work, to carry my laptop, charger, iphone cord, pens, legal pad, etc in for to and from work and to meetings in or out of the office. It looks good, holds up well, and doesnt scream "IT Nerd" like a lot of laptop bags do.

Why only four stars? I'm considering this pack and I'd like to know what you didn't like about it. Thanks!

Perfect for High School

My 17 year old grandson wanted a North Face backpack for school. I was okay in purchasing one for him because I have owned them in the past and they are very good quality. After a great deal of searching, I decided on this one. He loves it. It is large enough to hold his books and other items and he has gotten many compliments on it.
