Based off the iconic original Mountain Jacket, The North Face Men's FuseForm Mountain Jacket is re-engineered with FuseForm construction for extra durability in high-wear areas, while simultaneously reducing bulk for easier movement and packing. FuseForm construction seamlessly blends low-bulk 75D nylon through the lower 2/3rds of the jacket with heavy-duty 320D nylon along the upper back, shoulders, and sleeves for extra durability. Reinforced zones use Cordura for abrasion resistance when you're wearing a pack in the backcountry, preventing premature wear and tear from alpine exploits such as climbing and peak bagging.
The North Face's highest-performing HyVent 3-layer membrane seals out the heaviest downpours and snow squalls, allowing you to reach your alpine destination without suffering from cold, clammy conditions. Core vent alpine pockets offer functionality for stashing your favorite trail snacks and accessories, also serving to cool and ventilate your core on long uphill slogs. Other technical features include overlay details at the hand pockets, a Molded VISLON center-front zipper, and an internal chest pocket.
