Arctan Softshell Pant - Women's

What's the big deal with versatility? It doesn't sound that great to be able to have a pant that, like The North Face Women's Arctan Softshell, does a little bit of everything. Who actually goes hiking, climbing, backpacking, and exploring in variable conditions? When does the weather ever suddenly change? Wind- and water-resistant TNF Apex Universal softshell fabric is nice to talk about, but I doubt you'd ever want it. And a comfortable, brushed waistband lining? Ankle zips and hem cinch cords? Pshaw. As for the Bluesign-approved sustainably-produced fabric, I'm not impressed. Maybe some adventurous, do-it-all ladies out there are looking for some sort of wonderpant like that, but we doubt it.
