Returning these
I ordered both the Ridgeview and Riva boots, tried them both around the house for a few days and decided to go with the Riva's. Ridgeview are ok, but liked the Rivas better. Ridgeview seemed like it would be good on streets and sidewalks but not so much on trails. Both boots have eyelets for the laces and NO hooks, so getting them off and on in unnecessarily difficult, seems like a pretty poor design for no good reason. I ordered both 8.5 and 9, 8.5 is my normal size and was a good fit.

Teva boot for hiking ?
I was in suspect but took the risk and am extremely surprised. It's been my go to boot for lite hiking. Open toe box area for natural forefoot splay yet secure in the heel and arch . Lite weight and good traction.

Near miss
So bummed about these. Been searching for new hiking boots and hoped Teva would come through, as I have a couple of other pairs of shoes from them and really like them. Sadly these have to go back, as the cons are too much to overcome. Such a near miss. Pros: -Super cushiony insoles -Wider toe box -Nice looking -Seem very Grippy Cons: -Hard to get foot in due to attached tongue - I have narrow feet and I had to really work to get my feet in. My husband tried to get them on and couldn't - he has average sized feet. -They sort of curve in and rub aggressively at the ankles. Blisters guaranteed and I don't think breaking them in would help. Just walking around the house was uncomfortable. -Not breathable - feet were sweaty just wearing them around the house on a cold day, and I'm a cold natured person who doesn't sweat much. Can't imagine a warm day on the trail in these.

Finally found one
I have been searching for the perfect hiking boot / shoe for a long time and this is it. Snug in all the right places for my flat feet and light weight. Now to put them to the time test and see how long they hold up.

Not the boot for high arches
I really like this boot. It has all the qualities that I was looking for. Water resistant, work boot, cushion, grip. My only issue is that the show is not built for high arches. I have to insert my arch supports (after taking out the inserts) and the bridge of my foot is soar after wearing for the full day. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Just bought a second pair
My Ridgeviews have many miles on them, and they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I have a wide forefoot but narrow instep and the Ridgeview Mid fits me perfectly. Love the extra cushioning. I appreciate the understated styling and colors because I can wear these boots both in the field and in restaurants while I'm leading my photography workshops. I just bought a second pair in fear that Teva might discontinue this boot. I also have the low-cut version - a great all-around shoe.

Ridgeview Hiking boot
Comfortable boot. Love that it's waterproof. The vortex bootie will keep your feet warm and dry.

Great fitting shoe and unbelievably comfortable.
My new disc golf kicks. They're still pretty new, so they need to endure the AZ desert mountain at about 20 miles per week. Merrell and Keen have failed so far where Under Armor and Nike have excelled. Excited for these to last because they are the most comfortable of all in cushion, support, and width.

So comfy feels like home
I wear these for work and now also casual. More than 5 years ago teva stopped making hiking shoes and concentrated on water shoes and sandals for awhile, I'm so glad you came to your senses and I can get these again.

Comfort right out of the box
Needed a pair of lightweight boots for work but didn't want a traditional heavy work boot heading into summer. The wider toe box area makes them a total winner for me. Please don't ever discontinue or change the design. Plan on buying these for years to come. Trust me they are comfortable!!!
