I LOVE this hat! The quality is beautiful, it is VERY comfortable and elegant. The cognac is a very rich color. The brim is a perfect size. I may have to get other colors! Thank you Backcountry! I normally wear a 7 1/8, but ordered a 7 and it is perfect. Michelle

I purchased the navy Open Road. Classy, and cool! ? The fit was perfect, the color was vibrant. I wore it with a two button navy suit, yellow shirt, and black oxfords. Lots of compliments! Backcountry is my go to, for Stetson hats!

This is my first purchase from Back Country. I purchased the Open Road deluxe in Caribou by Stetson. This hat arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. The Caribou color was better in person than in the pictures. I bought this hat because of the 25 percent off price which not even Stetson has on their website. That hat fit perfectly and I will be looking for another one when the color becomes available. Back Country will definitely be getting my business in the future.

Perfect hat

When ordering Stetson hats, even directly from Stetson, I always anticipate finding a small defect; usually in the brim, but this Sage Open Road is flawless. The color is much more interesting in person, and seems a bit darker in natural lighting than what you see in these well-lit studio photos here. This will be the closest thing to black I ever buy. I own many styles of hats, but the Open Road has to be my favorite overall. So far I've got the cognac in felt, and in straw, and this sage.

It's A Really Nice Hat

I purchased the Sage color, Size 7. All I can say is that it's a really nice hat. Soft, flexible (not floppy) and extremely comfortable. The Open Road 6X is the stiffer model of this hat. I like that one also. This fairly new Open Road Royal Deluxe hat is more of a dressy, soft fabric hat. Although one can wear it anywhere, anytime. My experience with Stetson sizing is that their felt hats seem to run just a tad on the larger size. For example, this Open Road Royal Deluxe in a size 7 1/8 was too large for me, however the size 7 was somewhat perfect. If your hat arrives and is a just tad on the larger size or fits slightly loose, just slip a strip or two of regular kitchen paper towel inside the inner sweat band. You'll figure out how long, short or thickness the paper towel strips should be. It's the perfect way to get that perfect fit without going a size larger and finding out that 1/8 inch makes a ton of difference in sizing. I love the color Sage and love this hat. I wear it all the time. I have a total of eight Open Road felt hats and six Open Road Straw hats. Love 'em all. It's a high quality product, Made in the USA. Stetson is an icon in American Cowboy history. Some past Presidents have been photographed wearing a Stetson Road.
