Two decades-plus in the making.

They don't call him the don for nothin'. As a forefather to modern freestyle snowboarding, JP Walker has perfected and innovated his craft for more than two decades with iconic video parts and game-changing tricks, such as the first double cork. Through the culmination of direct input from JP and inebriating graphics by artist Brian Romero, Stepchild Snowboards presents the JP Walker Pro Model Snowboard. As JP Walker's 15th signature stick, he's created a do-it-all freestyle board that's stiffer than previous models yet offers enough forgiveness for street riding and jibbing. According to JP, "I like to hit bigger gaps and kinks and stuff, so I can't have a super loose banana board flopping around the streets."

Known for launching next-level tricks off gigantic backcountry booters, hips, and cliffs, JP designed a board with enough response to stick monstrous airs and washed-out landings. A flat profile aides with stability and all-terrain versatility; it allows the board to exhibit response and control without the catchy feel associated with full-on cambered boards. Stepchild uses its top-shelf core, the Kicker III core, to enhance edge control and compression strength along the insert rows. Triax fiberglass delivers a torsionally stiff ride, while it increases the overall edge-to-edge response. Armed with Armadillo plates, this board's street-tested durability comes courtesy of diamond-shaped fiberglass reinforcements located under each binding insert. Park Formula urethane sidewalls dampen vibrations from landings and also serve to better protect sidewalls from dings, scrapes, and dents when launching onto rails and jibs.
