SRAM's XG-1080 10-Speed Cassette is a lot like the XG-1099 XX Cassette. It's light and shares the same mesmerizing go-fast aesthetic. But it's way more affordable due to its construction. Where the XX cassette is machined from one block of steel, the XG-1080 is composed of individual, easy to make cogs that are riveted together to create a cog stack that is effectively just like XX. It even has an aluminum 36t cog and open, mud shedding design.
SRAM uses their X-Glide shifting technology to shape the teeth and cogs to provide the ultimate in quick, positive shifting. Compared to their Powerglide cassettes, this goes just a notch above. The difference is how quickly the teeth pick up the chain on the downshifts. We find X-Glide cassettes to be the new benchmark. All of the cogs, save for the largest alloy cog, are cut as short as possible to eliminate flex between the teeth and the point where they're riveted to their next largest neighbor. The lockring that holds it all together is aluminum and has a laser etched logo with the proper torque spec for installation.
The SRAM 10-Speed XG-1080 Cassette is available with an 11/36 ratio. It's designed to be used with 10-speed chains only.
The 11/36 includes: 11,12,14,16,18,21,24,28,32,36
